I'm happy it's coming back. It's also in a different colour so you can tell the original version from the other.
I had such hopes when that and the "chopper" came out that they would expand this concept. I never did like the fact they riders were portrayed as hippies, though. I've never, in all my two decades of riding Harley's and choppers ever met any hippies who were on bikes - nor did I ever meet any bikers - who were bikers in the 60s and 70s - who would have been very tolerant of hippies riding - even if they did have a VW trike (that's what it is, the trike has a volkswagen engine in the trike body). They are registered as motorcyles so they do not have to have seat belts. You could register them as cars but then you'd have to follow the regulations for cars.
I am really excited about the other motorcycles they are making now too (and the chopper they are rereleasing too)! I would need a few of each to be able to mix and match the parts I would want to to make a bunch of new bikes.
Hmm - maybe that's they are doing this, so we will buy more... At least it does give some neat swop and mix options for kids (of all ages). I will definitely be doing some custom painting of bike parts and kit bashing. (I can just see the dollar bills with wings attached now ...)
