promotional white color figures from england

more than a year ago i tried to find more about 3 sets of pirates that came in plastic bags - http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=2853.0.

  up untill now i was still missing one of them - the "colour" / white one.
  today i won one on ebay (a bargain for 3.83 euros) and i am rather happy  - they seem to be very rare.

the seller also had other sets besides the pirate:
- a "ritter" (sold for 20.49 euros, 6 bids) 
- a "konig" (sold for 10.49 euros, 4 bids) 
- a "clown" (sold for 1.99 euros, 2 bids) 

as far as i can see these are absent form collector v.3 so i decided to post the auction images of the 4 sets (the best ones i have).

  i also have a feeling that one of us knew something about these figures - i can't remember who but it had to do with english promotional figures and with being a relative of someone that had a close relationship with the creation of playmobil u.k..

p.s. meanwhile i found that who i was remebering was dawniebird (she stayed for so little time) and the extra "english" liaison didn't came from her.
the plot thickens...
... or maybe i am just going crazy and mixing everything up (that wouldn't be the 1st time and all these numbers and names playmobil forces us to know by heart can have this side effect).
