Also, why do people collect such large knight collections, Roman armies, or Pirate fleets? Could it be for the same reason as mine in the modern theme :hmm:?

You are absolutely right Bill!! I like organising my medieval army into categories, social, cultural, political, etc, and i also love to organise various scenarios for my pirate and western collections....

I went back and reviewed your fire department lineup Bill!!! Very impressive indeed and very well organised fire department. Playmobil City must be the safest in that parallel universe...(yes i am a fun of that theory and i am sure in that universe, the little smiling people have us as toys... ;) )

Cheers,

Panos

Because... because... because... Well, just because they look cool! ;D ;)

I asked my parents about insuring my collection, wondering really, if it already was insured.
They said that my collection was insured with the house,
And that I should only need pictures to prove I had the toys.
Steck is BACK! <:>

I'm excessive compulsive, flatcat ! I actually want to reflect an actual fire department with 2 districts using Playmobil as the source of apparatus! If you look @ my original Playmobil City Fire Departments District 1 Stations 1 thru 5, in the photo story telling board here, it will explain my thoughts much better. I also have many other multiple Playmobil fire apparatus assigned to other stations. Also, why do people collect such large knight collections, Roman armies, or Pirate fleets? Could it be for the same reason as mine in the modern theme :hmm:

I've noticed that many Fire Departments in the US and UK are very good at providing web-based information on their set ups, organisation, equipment, and even call logs.

I'm not a big Fire specialist, but I have several engines and other vehicles that would be enough for a couple of stations. In Eugene/Springfield there are 15 separate stations, and I could easily see myself re-creating each one if I had enough personnel and vehicles.
