Who said that Romance & Gallantry were things of the past ?
I would like my first posting of 2010 to be about what we all aspire to, one way or the other, LOVE !!!
If anyone has a doubt, here is the answer of my happy little Victorians for ever celebrating Valentine's Day at the Mansion...
Romantic Evening at the Mansion
By the gentle candlelight of a Great Chandellier, Romance is in the air tonight !!! Huge Red Roses Bouquets, Champagne on Ice, Caviar, Oysters, a Bowl of Strawberries and a Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake and... is this a Ring in the little box by the Card on the Side Table ?
A Nightingale at the Mansion
They say Her Voice can be heard from both sides of the Atlantic...
Hyde Park's Upper Crust is certainly enjoying her Singing tonight and the Mansion's Ball Room is like a who's who of Victorian Society : the Vanderbilts, Astors, Rockefellers and Rothschilds are all gathering here to celebrate the brightest Star of the Era...Maria Malibran !!!
The Opera Diva also called the Nightingale has just crossed the Ocean on the latest Cunard Steamer for the occasion before she starts her Grand European Tour and our Hosts have really excelled themselves tonight !!!
This will be front page material for the Distinguished Readers of the Delineator in London, La Gazette du Bon Ton in Paris and Cosmopolitan in New York, another success for the Lady of the House !!!
