And Feather, I love that backdrop you've used for your forest diorama. Did you print it off the computer or buy it from a store?
1) I gathered all the trees, bushes and ferns I had and put them all together by a blank wall. I took a picture. I moved them around and took another picture.
2) I printed the pictures out, cut around some of the trees or bigger branches and sticked the prints side by side. I then put that up on my blank wall.
3) I used all the trees, bushes and ferns again and I placed them together in front of the newly printed vegetation to create more depth as well as a better filled "forest" and "forest floor". I took a picture and moved the trees around to take a different picture... and I'm not sure but I think I did it a third time.
4) I printed the new pictures out a couple of times each and cut around the trees and bigger branches to help fit them better together. I sticked the pictures side by side to create a long background.
5) Then I took a big unfinished oil painting I haven't touched for months, on which I had already painted a clear sky. I'm not sure that shows though. I sticked my long forest background on that clear sky oil painting and a bit on the wall (at the corner) and voilĂ . Done
6) placed my playmo collection and enjoyed the result lol
Skypurr - I really like the forest set. It seemed like a good way to start collecting playmobil, since I love nature and animals... and the house from that set was affordable. lol That meant i could have a fair amount of klickies, plus animals, plus trees and such... AND a building!
My problem is...as many here I think, now that I started, I don't think I can ever get enough!
