Finally I got myself a nice Schooner (3055)

Yeah, I finally got myself a Schooner 3055. I've been looking for a long time for one MIB or at least in good condition. Two days ago one was offered through a secondhand site. Now I can't wait for the mailman to arrive.

From the pictures it looked very complete, at least all crew members and guns looked present allong with some smaller stuff.

It also comes with the 3174 Red Pirateship, the seller only wanted to sell them as a bundle. It's gonna be a big box for the mailman!

   That white hulled Schooner is a beauty. You are fortunate to get the crew with it . I see people sell them separately on auction sites for quite a bit . I have even seen them listed for $15 each. You will show us pictures when the postman arrives wont you ?  Now with the two you can have battles .

Congratulations on your find  :clap:! I'm not a pirate theme fan, but I have always thought the 3055 schooner was a masterpiece  :wow:!
In my opinion the color combinations, crew member design, & overall concept has yet to be matched by Playmobil since its retirement in which it was the only foe ship produced to fight pirates  :arrr:!

The schooner used to be at the top of my Wants list and it took me many years to lay my hands on one. Mine came unboxed and without the original crew and a few accessories, but I was lucky enough to spot the figures in an auction amongst a jumble of other Playmo stuff and got them for a relatively reasonable price. (It helped that the seller didn't list which sets the figures came from. ;))

The black suitcase is also hard to come by because it was exclusive to that set, like many of the other parts. A member of PF helped me to get one of those which completed my set. :love:

Congratulations Moose! I am glad you were able to find something you had wanted for so long, especially at a reasonable price (the two do not always go together :lol:). The schooner really is a very nice set.

Congratulations, that's one of my favorite sets. I found an incomplete one when I first started collecting and hunted out the remaining parts. I think it's the nicest looking sailing ship they have ever done

If all goes wel the mailman will deliver it today at my parents place. I hope I have time this evening or weekend to go there and pick it up.
