An appeal to the mods

The topic entitled:  "Make yellowed parts white looks like new" has been locked and moved to something called "Mod School" - please unlock it and return it to the "How-To" section.  Thanks!

I apologize for the topic being locked, but it has been removed due to safety concerns. It will be up to Sylvia to determine if with modifications that particular topic will be re-listed in the future. It was my decision to remove it due to additional discussions about chlorine bleach, hydrogen peroxide dilutions, etc. that caused some dangerous confusion. That topic is an example of one of those questionable subjects due to safety concerns, & children. At this time that topic will remain in its present status.

Still - isn't it this type of information we're looking for and what this section is all about? I start believing you can actually remove this section entirely as most of the items placed here could easily be removed for "possible dangers" ...

I've been waiting for quite a while for this topic to become "unlocked".
There are quite some white parts in my collection that need "bleaching".
... and then dusk came and brought despair.

That's brillant.  :wow:

I read the locked post the other day and started testing different cleaners on faded parts but I've had no success yet. Can I ask MacGayver did you soak your parts in neat bleach or was it diluted?

I shall have to have another try. I've got a badly discoloured palace I'd love to refresh, has any one tried bleach etc on pink floors that have gone yellow in the sun?

thanks Em.
