Since there has been some interest in my custom Bourke eye shields for the Playmobil N5A leather helmets, this is a collection of pictures showing what they look like in the up, & down position. The clear lenses are cut from remainants of store blister bubble packages. I developed a pattern based on my memory of actual Bourke eye shields I used on my own leather N5A New Yorker helmets years ago. I add several new lenses at a time to my PCFD firefighter helmets as time permits.

Very nice Bill! That blister pack plastic is great stuff, we used to use it for sportscar windshields and vehicle windows that were partially rolled down. What are you using as a hinge? Thanks for the great photos.

The "hinge" is a tiny piece of double sided tape that can be used for both the up, & down lens positions. This custom is not a permanent addition, but is used for display, & photo stories to add realism.

Hello Bill,

Excellent work as allway's. You never fail to amaze me with your clever use of part's and even more so how you get them to look like Playmobil's own work. This is something I have allways strived to do myself and its allways good to see someone following the same path. I can't wait to see more of your future projects.
