Wow, very busy those guys ... and what a "mess" in their garage :P

Any hints for me where are these "tool box trolleys" from (grey and blue one)?

Hi Little Jo!

The tool trolleys came from sets as follows:

Grey one came from set #3437 & decal set
Blue one came from set #7120 or 3615, & decal set
Red one came in set #3614 & decal set
White one came in set #3495 no decals

Great story again, Bill.  You certainly have an eye for layout and detail - I suspect there's a mechanic behind the camera, or at least someone with a mechanical aptitude, as the whole thing looks so lifelike in terms of what's going on.  Thanks for sharing.

Like Little Jo, those trolleys intrigued me.  The red one I've seen before, but not the others.

Some technical questions - how did you light your scene?  And the background looks very effective but is very simple, so hwat did you use?  Is it just the wall of the room?

Great layout and photos Bill! Great eye for detail and layout, the only thing I see missing is the ubiquitous boombox!

I am also curious how you lit your scenes, your photos are very good, thank you for sharing this with us. Although I am not into the modern themes, when I see projects like this I have to go 'hmm, I wonder if I am missing something?' Thanks again.

You are correct again, Gordon! The layout is a shelf, & the background is the wall. If I had a great printer, I would like to have printed a custom background!

Thank you for the positive feedback Gepetto!
The lighting is just a standard  halogen desk lamp, but using the solid white shelf, & wall I find it gives the display a contrast capturing the Playmobil items true colors! Plus the camera flash seems to reflect the white backgrounds also! I have tried to use other colors for a foundation, but have always liked the results of the plain white or light grey the best because it seems to give the photos an edge.

P.S. In regards to the missing boom box, it was behind the SUV, but in the update photo's it has been moved to the front of the shop by the boys because of Jack the hearing impaired employee  ;). They say something about he has selective hearing, what's up with that  ????
