Hi all,
Thanks for posting Aleon's pictures, Richard.  Great animals.
I think the water buffalo looks more like a cape buffalo.. ???

I did not notice the round huts at first.  They would be very
nice to have.  I made a couple out of wood a great while back
just for grins..Now I need a Masai Warrior :yup:

(I sure think the eyes and mouth would look better in the warrior if they were black,
and not have the 'beady" eyes...the children in that series look fine with all black eyes and
mouth...well my 2 bits worth.)

I think these are great additions to the series.

Best regards
Jimbo

don't you think that, this being an "african" theme, the "balance" in the klickies skin color could be a little different?\ :hmm:

Whenever I read about conservationists in Africa and Indonesia, they turn out to be foreigners maybe because the foreigners are from universities and non-profits with publication expectations while the locals don't seek out National Geographic.

Were you hoping for more svelte Indian Grad students?  Actually, one is probably enough to destroy most guys' hearts.

well tim... i don't know if i can totally agree with you...  :-\
i found this in the kruger park site (picture and text):

"Conservation memories: While the plaque is unveiled by the Executive Director of the Kruger National Park, Dr Bandile Mkhize (right standing) and a representative of the Ndlovu family, Ameko Ndlovu (left standing), the plaque in his memory is read in English by KNP Section Ranger Rob Thomson (left, sitting) and in Tsonga by KNP People and Conservation representative Rhulani Mabasa (right sitting)."

I yield.

It is tacky Playmobil's choice of ethnic distribution.

You probably have noticed that with the dino theme, the only African man is packaged without any dinosaurs, ergo a set that will probably be last on most kids' lists.

I was told this is a small town German toy made for home town German kids . This is just what Africa is ( to them ) and if you do not like it do not buy it . :P I will buy it and have to just put in a DS order & ( in my opinion ) more accurately represent and honor Africa and its people .
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:
