Nice castles

congrats like them a lot

Thanks, Michael ...

More just physics really, Richard, bearing in mind the load bearing qualities of stone vis-a-vis wood frame with infill and pictures I've seen such as this http://www.oldswinford.dudley.gov.uk/stokesay_castle_2.jpg and my own similar gatehouse which I made as part of Miss Cis's world tour in 2003.

Very nice GateHouse, Gordon! ...  :wow:

And, thanks for the "Stokesay Castle" link. Enjoyed seeing it!

And, physics aside ... it just doesn't look right to have wood on top of stone . (Must be the "intuitive" side of me that just subconsciously knows that you don't put stone on top of wood) ...  :klickywink:

Hello, Andi ...

I didn't think that David and I put an LGB train inside the castle. But, I wasn't absolutely certain, so I went back and looked at the photo again. As I was looking, I remembered that I had also attached a photo of the "boxes" that are tucked under the LGB/Playmobil train table ...  ;D

Yes, having a Playmobil train inside the house is great fun. And, I have been very fortunate to have a wonderful wife who has always agreed to my setting aside a very large area in our home for my toys ...

I'm sure that almost everyone has seen my first indoor train that I had when we lived in Houston. But, for those of you who may not have seen it (or want to see it again), click HERE.

All the best,
Richard
