Purchasing from Playmobil Germany
« on: February 08, 2008, 14:20:12 »
Can someone please advise me how to register with Playmobil Germany in order to purchase directly?  All the new sets are pictured in their on line shop, I would like to enquire re: shipping costs so I know how much to save save-save-save for the church set....  I also need spare parts urgently.  I have tried to register on the German site, however it will not accept my application.  There does not appear to be anywhere I can enter 'Australia' in the address, therefore it does not recognise my post (zip) code.  Is there another way to contact PM direct? Many thanks Sue (SQ)

I believe that you can only register with a German address on the German site.  Indeed, I think each site is country specific as regards registering.

Gordon is quite right, you can't register if you don't have a postal address in Germany.

Playmobil have separate websites for various European countries, plus Canada and the USA. Unfortunately they don't have one for Australia.

To get hold of German releases that haven't arrived in your country, make a friend in Germany and have them receive your goodies, and then post them on to you.

Hello, Suzi ...

This will NOT work for ANYONE who lives in ANY AREA that is currently serviced by ANY PLAYMOBIL DIRECT SERVICE !!!

PLEASE ...
DON'T TRY THIS IF YOU LIVE IN ANY AREA SERVICED BY ANY PLAYMOBIL DIRECT SERVICE !!!

(All it will do is irritate the "powers" at Klicky Towers and cause them to ignore us in the future !!!)

I thought about sending this as a PM to Suzy, but I know that I can trust everyone here at PF!

However, to keep this information exclusive to only our members, I will "attach" it to this post.

Suzi, in the "attachment" you will see where you need to send an email explaining your situation. Yes, you may use my name. I am not 100% sure that this will work, but it's worth a try. Good luck!

All the best,
Richard

Gidday SuziQ,
I am actually a Playmobil collector from down under too! I live in New Zealand and its a real b$^#$@*& nightmare to get Playmobil sets down here. I tell you what.... kiwis don't import anything... I think all we do is export sheep & make movies. The sets in Toyworld here in Wellington are like sets from 1994.... haha.. sad but true.
I have been getting the newest released sets from a great German bloke called Karl Hermann-Hipp.
He does really cheap shipping for countries down under. He also does special offers when bulk buying a complete set like all of the new fairies, or new pirates, or in your case... the new church set.
Check out his website: http://www.anno-time.de/shop/catalog/index.php?cPath=100_262
Geeze... I am new to this site, like first time here today! Hope I don't get canned for this. But felt I had to help out a fellow downunder.
Hey SuziQ, the church sets are not being released until April 2008 and the Egyptians in August 2008.
Tell you what, I am definately going to Karl for my complete sets of both. I like you, love the fact someone bothered to do a church! Its the best church I have ever seen too. I own the Sylvanian Families church and it is NOTHIN on the Playmobil version. Anyway = I like you have tried to register at Playmobil Germany and got booted out the door quick! HAHAHA!!
Hope Karl helps you out pal!
Cheers mate !!!
