Very clever idea and a real alternative to the known monk.

I am happy that you all like it.
...and I am happy that it obviously succeeded in getting Tim into christmas mood.
(at least his avatar... ;) )

I just wanted to add some background information, as you all did such nice
stories and myths around your secret santas...

To the monastery: In the background of my Nano-Diorama you can see the Carmelite Monastery, located some miles south of Carmel in California.
(Actually, this is how you can see the monastery from the highway)

To the person: He definitely IS a great St.Francis. Thank you, Tim, for finding
that out... :)
I have to admit that this custom is inspired by a custom I once saw at playmo-portal...

(it took me quite a while to find this thread... ;) )
But I can just agree, this monk is a perfect alternative to the clumsy ones...
the tonsure is difficult to do. It took me quite a while, both, the painting and the cutting.
the soft rubber is not a good material for any handcrafting, I think...  ::)

best,
