For this trip, I mixed and matched some pieces to make a Pamplona bull runner. (traditionally white suit with a red handkerchief)
So everytime I saw a bull, I'd get a shot of him running away. I got about 20 of these pics all over Madrid and Sevilla

Here's my report there's WAY more Playmobil than LEGO in Spain. Playmoil was the dominant toy. I loved that.
In Plaza de Mayor in Madrid, there was a shop that sold customized playmobil, decorated like Spanish police and military.

These were about €16 I bought 2. As you recall, when I went to Italy, I had to track down the exclusive Carabinieri motorcycle cop. I could not find if there was anything like that exclusive to Spain. So I got these two.

They used playmobil on their Pardon Our Dust signs

and they were all over the train station (I'm making a hook with my finger)

But the craziest thing I saw was this plush playmobil samurai! I didn't even know this existed!

Great pictures! It looks like you had a fantastic trip and found a lot of cool stuff! :D

There are at least two series of plush "figures" that have been released. I have one of the knights, one of the pirates, and the Viking. The samurai looks great too! ;)

Fantastic post! So many great images. Thank you  :thanks:

Amazing to think of a country in which PM is the dominant toy  :yup:  :prays: :cloud9:

Given the eruption of Greek sets in recent years, I feel there's a window open for Spanish ones. Admittedly some of the conquistador stuff would probably run into objections but with some imagination great work could be done. Imagine a Quixote world, with medieval Spanish village sets

Awesome post! I too went on a trip around Spain, but sadly I don’t get to see a lot of playmobil around, and even the shops are not carrying many sets. But what surprised me the most was seeing some playmobil street sign in the old city of Valencia!

I love these pictures & I am not in the least surprised since our Spanish Friends love Playmobil  :)
