Looking for a safe cracker
« on: April 14, 2023, 23:37:49 »
I'm stuck here with a PM safe that I don't know how to open!

I turn the wheels but don't know the code, so cannot get in. Any suggestions?

Best wishes

If you insert a small screwdriver into the crack where the door meets the frame, at the top right, then turn the top dial, when you reach the correct number the door will open slightly. Repeat with the screwdriver at the bottom right, rotate the lower dial and the door will pop open!

They don't call me 'Fingers' for nothing you know!

I have to pay them :(
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Alternatively, I think there is a tab in the base or the back which separates the body of the safe from the base.  I think tahra had this problem in the past.

There aren't that many combinations, you could just work through them

You can remove the back, I think I've had to do this before
