New Sets in Canada
« on: July 15, 2016, 00:52:19 »
Hi guys!
I just noticed that some of the new Country (Pony Farm) sets have just been added to the Canadian Playmobil site, but with slightly new packaging and completely different item numbers from their European counterparts. Strange part is, these sets were just released in Europe so I wasn't expecting them to show up in Canada/US until at least a year later.
Just thought that was interesting...has this ever happened before?
Here's a link to one of the sets as an example:

Needless to say, I'm not complaining and have picked them up to add to my Country collection!   ;D

It was a bit surprising to see most of the Pony sets available in the US already as well. I think logistically speaking it makes more sense to not have a year "lag time" between the European and American releases. I'm kind of pleased though since it brought several of the sets that would have been in my already strongly desired 2017 (I have a BUNCH of sets that I am planning on adding) Playmo budget into my 2016 which only has a few more that I need to track down.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

I too am glad that they are going out around the same time.

I'm very glad too! I just thought it was odd that they altered the packaging and also renumbered them in the 5000s for Canada (and the US it appears). Just seemed a little odd, but yes, good news!  ;D
