Hi All,

I have found this sign and never have seen it before.
My best guess is that it comes from set 3444, but i can't see on collectobil or playmodb if that is correct.

Does anybody have a scan from that set and check if the sign is indeed from that set.
And yes......... i'm very happy with the sign

But you are wrong. It is definitely from the Rathaus (City Hall) 3447...
You can see it on the image following the link, looking very closely..

By the way, its meaning is something like:

By highest order it is announced hereby that fighting, drinking, dancing and something else ("stegelschieben" - dunno the word by myself..  ) is forbidden by punishment on celebration days. ( again, maybe I am wrong with this word as well)


Nuremberg obviously was not the place to go for celebrating...

no, no other topic. Its just that the image of the rathaus at this link:

I asked because the translation looked like a 'quote' the first time i saw it.

Would stegelshieben be something like shoving off wall?
LEO.org says shieben is push or shove, closest for the other part is steg - a partition wall, catwalk or platform. So since it's castle theme maybe no pushing people off the wall walks?

hmm, with a second... ...very close... ...look, I think it means "Kegelschieben" which would mean bowling, skittles? 

It makes sense in terms of a middleage scenario on the street where this might be bound to a lot of noise...

Now knowing that it could be a K it looks indeed like Kegelschieben.
