Not sure if there was a topic about it yet, but seeing how they finally started doing other sets than horses and motorbikes as collectibles, now fairies and knights too, lets talk about what more they could do with this.
Trying to get into the roman theme a bit, which inspired me.. so here goes:
-Gladiator collectibles. Six different gladiators with different weaponry, a small weapon rack and an animal. The weapon racks can be combined to create a larger weapon rack.
Each gladiator would represent a different historical gladiator somewhat loosely, having more varied weaponry though. A little background could be given along with it.
-Bustuarius. Beast fighter who has various melee weapons including a spear, also a net to catch the animals. Light armor, his clothing look to be made of animal hides.
Includes a bear along with the weaponrack.
-Gladiatrix. Female gladiator, comes with full weapon arsenal including a round shield depicting a female warrior. Has long black hair, and a gladiatoral helmet.
Included animal is a female lion.
-Murmillo. Gladiator with good arm armor, leg protection and an open faced helmet with fish crest. Has a legionairy shield. Could include various swords, axes and spears as weapons. Included animal is a tiger.
-Equites. Cavalry gladiator, comes with a horse instead of a predator. Wears a sleeveless belted tunic with one armored arm, brimmed helmet with two feathers, uses a round shield, spears and a gladius.
-Retiarius. Gladiator with trident and net. Could have other weapons too but could include multible nets and trident models. Does not historically wear a helmet, so could maybe include circlets, a bandana or such instead. Or a hairstyle that doesnt allow for helmets. Included animal is a male lion.
-Provocator. Gladiator with breastplate, pretty much modeled after legionaires. Carries similar weapons. Included animal is a wolf.
Some new parts could be introduced through these gladiator sets, such as a smaller axe, like the kind you see the champion gladiator in the movie gladiator use. Some new helmet models as well, no reusing medieval helmets and passing them off as gladiator helmets. Maybe a new arm guard armor too, and a net made from strings instead of plastic, so that it can really ensnare a clicky or animal. And of course the new weapon rack. The included animals could have a different coloring than usual. The lions being less yellow and more light brown, the tiger maybe having bits of white on him, etc.
