That (graininess) is something a little bit of fine grained sand paper can take care of quite easily, if you need to.

They are quite beautiful!

I love ancient Greece (and all things historical!) and these are fantastic.  I have recently gotten some "28mm" (really, 1/48th scale, but they like to claim 1/56th, but they measure to the eyes and not the top of the head so it's really quite arguable) Greeks from Victrix and I already have the Wargames Factory Greeks and there are the Immortal/Warlord Games ancient Greeks.  It would be nice for Playmobil to take the plunge with that theme (it would have been great if they had Romans, Egyptians and Greeks released all at the same time!).  Does anyone remember Atlantic ancients?  (or am I starting to date myself …)

Hey Wesley.
Actually, sand paper doesn't do any good to the surface. It's like you're trying to polish glass fiber, it gets worse the more you rub it. At Sculpteo, they "stone wash" the items with tiny triangular pebbles and warm water.
I think I knew Atlantic. Weren't they 1/72 figures? I had the Aegyptians and the US army with a floating bridge.
