Creating Decals
« on: March 13, 2014, 20:01:31 »
Hello guys I wanted to ask if anyone out there could give me some advice or help, you see I'm part of a social group that's been settup to help and support people who identify as being Transmale and I've been asked if I'm willing to come on the comittee as their Official Photographer. The reason for this is because they've seen the phoots I've taken with my Klickies and my Action Man figures and they think they're good because they can be used to raise publicity/awareness whilst not affecting anyone's privacy because of the fact that I'm using the little men. I've mentioned that I'd like to try to do some custom figures sort of like my BTCV figures but, for our group and using proper decals instead of paint as it'll be neater and the logos are a bit more complicatedand as you'd expect this is something they're keen to encourage. I dont'r really know much about making decals or where to look to get them made in the right scale but, I'm aware that some people on here use them to amke some veyr good quality customs so I was wondering if anyone could offer me any suggestions or any help, then I can start getting back to them with some ideas of potential costs and such like. Thanks very much

Mostly it's just making it up on the computer and printing it out on decal paper. The paper itself will vary depending where you are I would guess. You are in the UK so maybe someone from there can help, possibly Playmofire?

It's a long time since I made my own decals.  I found a shop advertising on the internet to produce waterslide decals from your own documents.  They were very good and very reasonably priced.  However, they eventually stopped offering the service when they had to get in new equipment.
