Wow, that was quite a project.  I love how you incorporated real life with the display, and your descriptions were so fun to read.  It must have been fun to hear people identify with different parts of the parade day as they looked at the diorama.  Your bagpipe group is great, you should take some close-ups of them.

Congratulations on a very nice presentation.  How are you ever going to be able to top this next year.

Thank you all for your lovely comments, hearing what everyone says does make all the hard work worth while.
I do wonder each year how we are going to improve on the previous year  8}
However, plans for next year are already underway, I have a few ideas and Gordon, Walter and Claire are planning dios for next year too so that should take some of the pressure off me I hope!
I have been very busy with my drumming group this month, but we played our last event of the summer today (we played at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last weekend) so I hope to have more time to sort out my other photos and perhaps put a guide to how I made the pipers and bagpipes in the customs thread. Unfortunately they aren't Playmobil Joe, it would be great if Playmobil could make some.  Actually the pipers themselves were easy to make, the bagpipes though were a bit more difficult!  ;)

Very, very nice display! So many great details! Thanks for sharing those pictures with us! :)

I've looked at all the pictures a couple of times, it really is lovely!

I'm curious, is there any barrier between the people viewing, and the display tables? I keep thinking that just one bump against the table and so many carefully arranged klickies tumble over. How do you prevent that?

I agree, there is just soooo much to see  :o  I wish I could have seen it for real!

Your supermarket is my favourite building: are those two supermarkets merged into one?
And all those shops with everything in it  :love:  The school even has a kitchen!

The bagpipe band is absolutely amazing...

Didn't you get any domino-effects with all those clickies? I sure hope not  :)
