Search Function Down?
« on: August 31, 2006, 18:32:28 »
Is there a problem with the search function, or is it just me??

Everytime I try to use it, I get an error message...

It works for me.

What exactly are you searching on?

I am using IE 6.0, was looking for an item number and I get an error message.  Is there a minimum character length?

Looks as if there is a minimum length.  I just searched on 3880 and got an internal server error, but searching on 3880a worked.

Yep, that's the same error I get.

Was just thinking it would be helpful to have 4 figures be a valid search, as that will pull up threads about specific pieces.

:)

Just a suggestion;)

I've never noticed that before. Seems a bit strange.  ???
I'm sure I've successfully searched by 4 digit set numbers in the past.

I think that if a minimum character length was causing this problem, it would probably return you to a normal forum page asking you to try again with more letters.

The fact that it is showing an internal server error instead could indicate some other kind of problem. I will have to look into it.
