LOVE THEM!!!

Yet one thing I want to tell Geobra.....dont overdo the printing thing.....There is a sign they are killing the playmobil with the complicated prints.

I would say the optimal one (In my very honest opinion), is the Scandinavian guy in the second series. Great use of printing, yet at the same time giving as tangible parts.

He is...could it be...a dwarf  :o? That would be a great edition to the Fi?ures, and maybe it means a new kind of figure for the next medieval series  ;)!

The basket ball player looks shorter as well so I think it is just camera scale that is making it look shorter. If it is a dwarf after all I do not think it looks like the designers did a very good job. It should be unmistakably a dwarf.

ras i dont think hes a dwarf i think hes normal size. if you notice well the one on the left is on a skate board so thats the reason hes taller and the one on the right have the helmet as for the basketball player hes wit out hat or any think

Question: what are the ones I don't know? ::)

I've added my guesses - and suggested a few changes...

BOYS Mars/March
pirate - Crystal Skull Pirate
?? - Alien 'Vader' (like Darth Vader)
rockstar & guitar
Elvis
Mexican - Mariachi Band guitar player?
prisoner
skate fellow - skateboader
globetrotter - basketball player
knight

ninja
?? - Spacey hero?

GIRLS Mars/March
fairy
Cleopatra
bath girl
"Vampirella"
cheerleader
Lara Croft
ballerina
flower girl - Bavarian Woman
vet
Japanese woman - Geisha
?? - Jungle woman with monkey (like the Stone Age woman)
ball suit woman - Ballgown Lady

BOYS Août/August
?? - Axe Knight
?? - Tattoo Pirate? (like the Maori pirate in set 5137)
hockey player
samurai - or Shaolin monk-warrior?
tamborine fellow - Rasta-man?
astronaut
?? - Knight? (Lord of the Rings style?)
rock singer
scarecrow
English soldier - Royal Guard
F1 champion
?? - a total mystery!  Looks like a plasma space age being of some sort!

GIRLS Août/August
lady with umbrella
surf girl
?? - Greek Goddess?
skate girl
Spanish dancer - Flamenco Dancer
Statue of Liberty

Anybody else have some ideas or guesses?

Wow. I'm wondering 2 things.

1. How many little bags am I going to have to squeeze to score 20 Palace Guards?
2. Will these release everywhere in 2012 or just in Germany?

Some very cool figures (or parts) !!  8-)

2. Will these release everywhere in 2012 or just in Germany?

Everywhere except in Belgium.  Stores here still don't carry the 1st series (except for maybe 1 or 2 smaller shops), so I'm doubting they'll bother to carry the next series.... ::)  :hissyfit:

Strange, they are pretty widely available here. Of course I find Montreal has more stores selling PM than can possibly be justified by the size of city or the popularity of the toy. . .

For the rock star with guitar I suggest Sid Vicious (from the Sex Pistols). The hair-style fits, though I think he played the bass.

I think that one called a "greek goddess" is a woman from India, in a sari.

I think the 'jungle woman' is meant to be Jane.

So perhaps we can expect Tarzan in series 4.....he might give Speedo dad a run for his money  ;)

Yeah... I meant to mention that. I was there this week and they're 3.99! :-\ They used to be 2.99. They did have a buy 2 get the third free sale on all playmobil, so I was wondering if they just raised the price for the sale.

are they really going to call the 'famous' figures that? I mean, will we see them on the catalogs / ads as "Lady Gaga", "Elvis", "Lara Croft" etc???
PM has never done that, even with the fairy tale sets they named them differently (i.e. Snow white was called "Sleeping Princess Fairy Tale Set") - it'll be interesting to see what twist the names of sets take with these figures

I don't think they would risk the lawsuits or licensing issues by calling them by their "real names". They might refer to Lady Gaga as "Pop Singer" or something along those lines.  8-)

Just got off the phone with some people and it looks as though the USA release has been pushed back because they decided not to let them out here until after the Toy Fair in New York. So I am guessing that they will start showing up at the Funpark next week, and then the retailers might get them in 3-4 or 6-8 weeks...  ::) That is for Series 2... Series 3 is on schedule for an "August" release ... maybe even as soon as Mid-July

There's already one, so they have the mold. Which color is this one? You can't see the dwarf very well in the picture…
BTW Panos, if you're selling a kidney…

Got to get these new figures for sure!

Cheers from Canada!   :cheerlead:

Hey guys, I just joined, so I never got to say anything about these! I think the dwarf is absolutely awesome! And I agree that it'd be wicked if Playmobil made a theme (maybe fantasy?) or even just a set with some dwarves. Too bad they used the Roman-style gladius for him, but that could easily be changed. Though a normal sword would probably be too long to fit... It would have been cool if they'd have made a new short sword for him.

The Dragon Land-type knight seems cool too; is his armour shiny silver? It looks like it. His swordbelt looks sort of strange though, like it is square-looking and in an awkward place.

Aside from those two, I like the bride-looking one and maybe the pirate, but he seems to have a similarly strange swordbelt.
