I have a few shelves in my living room that were initially hung to display books and decorative items, but for some time now have been a place for playmobil displays. I rotate these displays every couple of months, because by that time they are getting pretty dusty anyway. So I take them down, clean them, and put out something different. I've just spent the last couple of days putting away dinosaurs and romans, and finding another place to put my gift shop, so I could put out Western stuff.
Anyway, I decided to start a thread to show my finished displays, as well as a new display set up on my desk, and next time I change it out I'll update the thread. So here's my western sets, all the western stuff I have, except for Silver Ranch and a few cowboys. But I've got western fever reeeeeally bad now! I have a bunch of bison and teepees in my ebay watch list.

They stop at this small oasis to water the horses and fill their barrel and cantenes.

But they don't see the robbers lurking behind the rocks.... until the dog starts barking.

But here come the cavalry, looking for these escaped prisoners. Whew!

Great new displays, bb! Very diversified! :)9

bb: Very cool displays! Your Western sets look great on the shelves. And your beached whale with all the onlookers at the beach is really neat. Thanks for the photos, Pgal ;D
-
Wonderful displays. I've had a bounty hunter and a small cattle drive on my bedroom shelves for years now. Western is a great series.
We just watched 12:10 to Yuma recently - the more recent version. Excellent movie.
-
Beautiful displays bb!!! Seems these shelves can be rearranged every once in a while to change the theme on them, change the mood and keep playmobil collecting beeing interesting!!!
-
This is a great idea, Bonnie and you have done a beautiful job with the Western theme. I can see why you are hooked!

What an excellent way of displaying Bonnie! Are they those shelves from Ikea? I must get some - display area is a real problem for me but these are great1
-
nice!
I have black shelves as well....the only problem is dust collects rather visibly, so picking up entire dioramas to dust, and then re-setting them....is a pain :(
-
Very nice.....high shelves would prevent a certain 4 year olds sticky fingers from continually attaching themselves to MY Playmobil!!!!
-
Thanks, everyone! Glad you like them. :)
Are they those shelves from Ikea? I must get some - display area is a real problem for me but these are great1
No, they're not Ikea, I can't remember what brand they are but I got them from Lowes... interesting story, because they were supposed to be on sale for $30 each, but someone had accidentally marked them as $3 each. So Chris asked someone about them, and they actually agreed to let us have them for that price since they were mismarked! So we got all 3 for under $10.
-
Great work! I love a bargain! You were destined to have them. ;D
-
Loved them all, Bonnie!
I particularly liked the last one with the bikini people - they're so cute.
and those western sets look awesome - makes me want to get some :o
-
Great displays bb!  I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the indians!!
But that ship makes me nervous! It's gonna fall!!
BTW...how are the dolphins holding? :-\
-
Thanks so much, everyone! Gaston, yeah, it does look a little dangerous, doesn't it? But that way the klickys can see the beautiful coral reef through the glass bottom.
About the dolphins... they have a little hole in the bottom of them, just like the marlins and rays, that fits into the bigger sized pegs in the coral pieces. Except the one on the far right, which is presumably older and doesn't have a hole... it has a slit farther back towards the tail joint, and I have two prongs from the coral jammed into it holding it up. Btw, the smaller tips on the coral, and the tips of the sea grasses fit holes on the bottoms of the smaller fish and the eels and hold them up.

That indian village on the shell looks very good. Nice sets, nice display.

Well, I never use the desk anyway, so it doesn't matter.
The marine biologists are still on scene, working really hard to rescue the whale. ;)
