Title: Ladies for my Queen.
Post by: tonguello on November 13, 2011, 21:27:21
When I was a kid I had this set. http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3263x.htm

Somethings survived my childhood. The most important ones were the ladies. But they were incomplete. They were missing the necklaces and the white fabric at the back of the bonnet.

I have been trying to revive them for a while but those white things are impossible to find. So... customizing was the answer.

Now.... other thing I love almost as much as Playmo is movies. Most of all, historical movies. Hairdos is one of the things I pay attention to in order to translate them to my playmobil. I noticed that doing a very simple thing, gives playmowomen a total different look. THIS:

(http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/The%20Queen%20Ladies/DSCF3385.jpg)  (http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/The%20Queen%20Ladies/DSCF3387.jpg)  (http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb432/tonguello/The%20Queen%20Ladies/DSCF3386.jpg)

Of course something must be done about the back.  ;D With a little bit of the home made paste.... I made this.

I decided that those bonnets needed at least something similar to the original white clothe. I got a couple of pink bows used for the decoration for the tent in this set http://playmodb.org/setpics/4308.jpg
I cut off the bows, painted the rest gold and got this.

And here they are with their Queen.

Gaston, turning the hair around is absolutely brilliant!!! With permission, I'm going to use that idea for a custom of mine that I needed a certain hairstyle for. Absolutely genius.

BP, I thought about Princess Leia, too.

Thank guys for all the comments! I'm glad you liked it!

BTW the hair backwards requires glue to stay on the head bb :)

Agree agree!....reversing the hairpiece was brilliant and the 'princess lela' buns & pleats very well 'manufactured' ;D...and most of all I too applaud your ability to bring back these outdated klickies,
btw...'BluTag' sticks just as well unless you'll never ever re-customise her

Hey! I just noticed one of the ladies in the mistery figures series 5 has the hat at the back of the head just like these I made.
That means they had to make a new hair piece I believe. I never saw them like that, they were always straight like a bonnet.
I SO HOPE they are copying me!!!

I noticed that figure too and think it will be a great addition to the Medieval themes.

I hadn't seen your customs before though, but they look great! :)
