So here's the review I promised.
The scenery part of that new 5019 dinosaur box is quite large AND real, compared to the cardboard scenery of last year's 5014. Very nice use of the agave plant on the tree on top, by the way.
The new rock formation to the left can only be used on floor level as it has no rockies connectors below. Bur as it's meant to be a cave that's OK.
In my review the little cave is inhabited by the Velociraptor from the set - a hungry velociraptor who has spotted a nice little fish in the (exclusive) dark rock waterfall formation.
-
But the Velociraptor is not the only one hungry in that set...
...
...
...
...not at all ;D
-
Oh, and you'd never believe how caring T-Rex mothers handled their eggs putting them into safe nests high up in rock formations. - Bones in the nest are the remains of what last year's offspring left behind before leaving to the endless jungels of Gondwana.
But there are those very vicious egg-stealing Stegos so mother T-Rex has show who's the boss to make those evil-doers leave....
...not always successfully as little Stego loves to dine on T-R-Eggs.
-
And here she is: The star of the set, the mighty Pteranodon (somehow in my perception it became the female).
A male Pteranodon (from another set) has just found out which area this beauty has chosen for nest-buiding activities.
-
And here's the "human factor" in this set.
The amphibious vehicle is the same as in 4175 (Deinonychus) and so is its proud driver.
The vehicle can be equipped with the battery-driven Playmobil underwater motor and will float in your bathtub (usually for lack of a large lake in a huge Playmo dino park).
In the back, a special red connector is added so you can hook up a trailer behind the vehicle.
The vehicle has three lights on top and an antenna in the rear.
-
The driver's tools include standard "pirate" equipment ;D,
binoculars,
a colt (may come in handy with the two small dinos),
AND a huge lunch box (red) - huge for just ONE human.
The last picture shows the dinosaurs' idea of a huge lunch box ;D ...
(...with an interesting place I found for the female Ptero's feet to lock on to).
Hope you liked the review. ;)

What a lovely review, and an awesome set! Thanks so much!!! Love the idea of using that pteranadon as the female. She's so beautiful! And the new rock cave is really great. Hopefully we'll see that in a lot more sets.

Great review Simon!!! Thanks for the pics!!!

Thanks for the pics. I'd really like to get that flying one (can't keep the names in my head).
It's SOO stupid to use the exact same klicky. Gods. Don't they have a tub of popped parts?!
-
Thanks for this creative review and beatiful pics. Love the amphibious vehicle!
-
  I just love the Ptero
IMHO she's the queen of the set ...
Do you have the partnumber of her, by any chance?

Oh yes, this review :-[
The Deinonychus has green claws though, not yellow, but the same part number. I will need to add a mention of that to Animobil.

Thanks for the review, Playmofool! Sadly I'm not in to the dino theme, but an awesome set nonetheless. :)
