Blame me if this is not news to you all. I finally get my hands on the new surprise figures!! New, as in the series ONE. I am so amazed how easy to separate the body parts!! No printing rubbed off, no cracking, no elastic band, no evil tools from SAW. Just click and the klickies just have their body parts all off!! I am so happy now. Hope playmobil can keep this up and improve in the future!! I am not complaining, but I am really disappointed by Geobra's technology with their KID KLICKIES' eyes. Everything is getting better and better, so does my love to playmobil!!!

I personally hope they will adopt the new structure... but I have heard that some people have had issues with them...
It would make sense though because with the "smaller parts" they could push the upper age range so it was a 5-12 toy instead of 4-10... I think the biggest indication that they are at least contemplating the new structure for all figures is that they are clearly expanding the scope of the Playmobil 123 line with buildings and themes... which means that they can push it from being a 1.5-3 Toy to being a 1.5-4 or even 5 like the old school fisher price sets used to be... and thus make the more grown up sets... more grown up... :crossed:

Do you mind to share me the ISSUES you mentioned? Like......drifting away from the playmobil tradition? Or the klickies are getting too easy to be dissembled? Um, I have never tried, without the skill. But is the new one compatible with the old one??
And I do agree they could push it into the more mature range, though swapping parts, at least within the 5203 and 5204, do not make perfect sense.

Not sure what all the issues are. I never tried (very hard) to take about the current or old figures to mix and match, but these 'new and improved' ones fall apart just by looking at them. (I'm talking about the surprise bag figures). I don't mind the idea of build your own, but they have to stay put together.

Hmmm :hmm:... for me, they work perfectly. With a tug on the head they just pop apart, but maybe mine stay stiffer because I've taken them apart numerous times ????

Mine are fine......though I notice that for the same figure, the looseness of the two arms are drastically different. Yet I dunno if that is because of the new design. Loose arms are fine, comparing to SLOUCH, which happens a lot for normal klickies

I agree that this would be a nice step forward. I would not mind seeing it happen, i like these figures very much and looking forward to more!

Same here, I just broke a leg of a klicky :'( using the "Hans on"-method, would be nice if customzing wouldn't be all to harmfull.
-
i've only had trouble dismantling old klickies - current ones are pretty easy to take apart for me (the plastic they're made of is not as tight as the old ones)
hence i don't really care if PM changes the structure or not
:)

Make sure that when snapping the head in, you hold the klicky by the legs, so that the head snaps firmly into the chassis. If you just hold it by the torso or around the arms when popping the head in, the legs will slide down a little and the head won't snap in.
I have at least a dozen of the new F?gures, and there is NO WAY any of them would come apart without me giving them a good firm pull, if assembled properly. None of them are the least bit loose.
-
All the fi?ures I got, the fit was very very snug, with no stooping or loose arms in sight. Yes, I definitely would like this to be the way forward for the rest of the range, too. Only last week I broke the boots off an old city guard ::) ::)

Sounds like the norm is quite new-structure-welcoming
And I noticed the printing is getting more accurate on klickies bodies, which might not be f!gues-only. Thanks technology!!!

I have not had any problems with them either... but I know that some have complained about them "falling apart" ???
-
We had no problems with ours either.. The ones that we wanted to change or pop required a strong yank.. No way they'd pop by accident..

If you change out the legs first
so they are the old style legs from the first klickies,
and then do the Hans on method,
The legs will not break, or certainly not as easily. :)
As for this new system, it sounds very exciting!
I have none of the surprise figures...
But I think it is time I went to Science Safari
And grabbed a zorro. ;D

I want to get some of these new figures !!!!

I have no problem on the new body structure. I am the one who has never removed hair, arms, legs from klicky as I thought I was too rude and feared something would be broken. :-[
It is smooth now when assemble or remove parts.
Actually, I concern the packaging instead. Since my friend found that his 5203 guitarist has 2 heads :o but no rubber strape. This is ridiculous and Playmobil should really pay more attention to pack the scattered component. ::)

Good idee, but how do you remove the legs first? (maybe a little off-topic)

if you take a dental floss pick... you can poke the end between the legs and the skeleton... and it will just slide off without any damage as both the playmo and the pick are plastic... or you can use a screwdriver if you are careful ;)

Thanks Baron! I will try right away.
