Title: OMG OMG OMG
Post by: Bolingbroke on September 23, 2011, 14:26:22
I just bought - and paid for - three sets off ebay. An unboxed but complete Merry Men's Hideaway for 25 euro. And unboxed but complete Bear-dancing family for 20 euro. An almost complete Merry Men's Feast, unboxed, for 45 euro.

This week it was my bday too - my wife bought me, among other things, a MISB HIdeaway. I can keep it MISB and still enjoy the set now!

Thanks. Ill post pictures when Im back home as Im currently abroad. Seller still has a hunting party set available, but it's not as cheap as the ones I bought and I already have one of those at home.

 ;D ;D ;D

I promise I wont buy any more PM till the end of the year.

No, of course not... you wouldn't want to have to break that promise... better not to promise in the first place...

unless of course you were talking about telling her that you bought the sets... then yes you probably should...

 ;D

This gives me an idea for another possible topic: whether PM purchases cause friction between couples, financially and also considering the amount of time we spend on the various fora, ebay, customising, flea markets and so on.

They are among my favourites too - among my TOP favourites. I don't have much to go now to finish the 'golden era' theme. I'm missing the 3629 hunter and the wandering monk, and the 3654 knight with squire which I think is one of the most difficult items to get MISB/ complete on ebay. But no hurry. I spent enough this month, my wife spent enough on my bday presents and when I get home I'm sure my family has bought me some of the new pirates too  ;D ;D ;D

I think you start moving towards addiction once you start contemplating buying a bigger house to accomodate your PM ... which is what Im doing right now  ::) ::) ::)

Not addiction, just serious dedication to playmobil. ;D

 I'm not looking to move, but I have been thinking of adding on, or building an insulated, air conditioned, outbuilding big enough to use as a playmoden.
