AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to see the up close shots! How many police stations and how many extensions did you use for that?
-
Officer Travis welcomes us in the Administration building,
(http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x335/Baldthar/PCPD%20HQ/DSC03030.jpg)
Here's an overview of it
(http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x335/Baldthar/PCPD%20HQ/DSC03001.jpg)
Here we can find Chief of Police Hurst ( the Chief is on the phone with the Mayor right now because the City Council official in his office is giving him a headache...)
Captain Fuller, in charge of the entire HQ, just arrived in his office
(http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x335/Baldthar/PCPD%20HQ/DSC03032.jpg)
Detective Nate, in charge of the homicide division...

and Sergeant Howard in charge of administrative organisation and archiving
(http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x335/Baldthar/PCPD%20HQ/DSC03040.jpg)
-
Officer Travis takes us next to the waiting/docket area, where there is a cafeteria for civilans and officers...
two more school officials wait for their appointment with Lieutenant Cole, and two traffic officers having their brake...
Officer travis shows us the briefing room next, where anything between debriefings to press conferences are held...
(A debriefing is in session so we won't interrupt...)
And at the far end of the building the communication centre is situated...
...and of course the lovely lady officers of the com centre could not resist in possing for our tour report... surrounding their supervisor, Lieutenant Burness.
-
Saddly, officer Travis cannot leave his post but he gave us directions to visit the armoury and Special Unit offices next door...
The Special Unit is always guarder by a SWAT and an anti-terrorist officer.
An overview of the Special Unit buiding:
Lieutenant Montel is too busy to show us arround but he gave us a pass to help ourselves in...
Sergent Street is the supplies officer...
and he was happy to show us around ''the cage''...
the SWAT team is in session so we can't interrupt them...
and lets move on....
-
Outside Special Unit, the vehicle parking is situated...
Lieutenant Tucker is debriefing the patrol personel, for both traffic and regular patrol...
We slowly make our way to Detention and along the way we meet the motorcyclists of PCPD.. here the officers are admiring the new bikes that have just arrived...
and just before Detention, we meet the mounted officers!!!

Detention Block: an overview...
In the entrance there is a special metal detector and x-ray machine to check visitors.
Special Unit officers are on guard duty.
Criminal/suspect processing room:
Interrogation room (Detectives Preston and Goodfellow give the good old ''good cop, bad cop'' treatment to a suspect...)
Prisoners have al kinds of luxuries in Detention...
However they are not too happy...
and of course the control centre for all Detention...
-
Well folks, this was our small ride around PCPD HQ.... We hope you enjoyed it!!! I'd like to thank Bill Blackhurst for giving me a lot of good ideas a few months ago for this project!!! Thank you Bill!! Maybe some ideas did not come to fruition but next time they will ;)
-
Wow, Panos, this is just amazing! so well arranged, and I love all the little details, like that you filled the shelves with file folders instead of just using the two or three that come with a station. Love the interrogation room too. And Police Chief Hurst. ;)
-
Thanks Bonnie ;D I am glad you liked it!!! I used three police stations, two upperfloor extentions, two cell block extentions, and various of system x parts. I hope to redesign it, as I found out it needs a helipad, a better parking space, and a few more offices and common areas...
-
Absolutely amazing, Panos! :wow: :wow: :wow:
It must have taken you ages to design and build! 8}
I like the way you used those little blue caps to top off the holes on internal walls :)9
My favourites are the Archiving dept and Detention block
Damo :)
-
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:
Great building Panos! Every detail is fantastic, what a nice Police Department!!! I think we all wish they were like this in real life!
Excellent Panos!! Can't wait to see how you improve it with the helipad!
-
Thank you Damo and Gaston!!! So glad you liked it!! :)
I've been designing it and slowly building it, as parts were becoming available to me, since april I think... Funny thing, every time I've put something extra I realised something else was missing... well, the helipad set is on its way so I hope I'll upgrade the building sometime by the end of the month!

I like to see that you guys don't have the concept of small ;D.
This is another thread that I'm saving to show my wife in case of need.
PS: You definitively need a helipad and a chopper ;).

hehe... Thank you Luciano!! I'm glad you liked it!!
As I said, the helipad is on its way, and I already have two helicopters, but I would prefer to customise a bigger helicopter like Manu has done here: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=4269.0
-
Ooooooh, that looks sexy! 8}
But since a police chopper seldomly needs to lift off people (a police chopper is usually used only in an observation role), the smaller one I think works well.

or for lowering SWAT on roof tops ;D remove the grapling hook and line, add custom chairs like Manu did, and there's your bigger chopper ;)
-
They're great Wolf Knight :)
(makes me wanna buy police again!)

Yeah, you could use it for a SWAT chopper to storm buildings (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/thumbs-up.gif).
-
Impressive! This is one of the best customs I've ever seen! Great job!
-
this is great love your setup. bonnie always says my police station has a big footprint and it does so i might just us some of your ideas if you dont mind
-
Thank you Tahra and toyologist!!
Chris! Of course you can copy any idea that you find interesting!
-
What an excellent building. That's just a beautifully done project
-
Impressive set and photos sire !!!! Really like the tour of your police princinct station !!!! Very nice sire !!! very ncie indeed !! these new office sure look the business
A helicopter unit about also ???
-
Thank you Tim! Thank you George! There are two helicopters next to this set up, but I did not include them as I did not like the set up... I am waiting fo a helipad to arrive and add it to the building.
-
That's a magnificent custom building, Panos, quite magnificent.
I like the lots of files on the shelves, they really make the offices look real life.
The mounted police are very smart; some close ups of them would be nice.
The idea of the security scanner is a good one, but I don't remember seeing any CCTV cameras, or did I miss them?
You should really have a tape recorder when interrogating suspects. (That's a custom project for you.)
-
Thank you for a most constructive feedback Gordon! the xray scan was Bill's idea actually. There are CCTV cameras all around the building, they are not easily spoted, but they are usually at the end of a ledge.
I plan of presenting my entire force so you'll get a chance to see the mounted officers up close ;)
-
Panos, what helipad are you getting?
-
As a former police officer I commend you. But, and I may have missed it, where are the CSI people?
-
Excellent project Panos :wow:! You have captured the true atmosphere of a very large PD! Thank you for acknowledging my recommendations, it is very appreciated, & seeing how well this has turned out, you have done an extremely great job!

Thank you very much for your feedback Bill!! I really enjoyed sharing the progress of this project with you my friend!
-

Hey Jay, thank you for your feedback. The thought occured to me to place a CSI lab but I was not sure which sets or items to use to create one. If you have anything in mind, please point them out to me! :)
Panos, what helipad are you getting?
I got the whole 3988 - Large City House (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3988) building, Luciano ;) So I am thinking of adding a few more units in the current buidling...
-

They're between seasons. They'll be back sep 21.
(sorry, couldn't resist ;) )
There was a superset that had footprints...

It will work beautifully! 8-)

Excellent idea Gaston...off to look at hospital sets...
-
There is a bunch of potential stuff in 4880 - Robo Gang Lab with Ultraviolet Flashlight (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4880)
The x-ray machine and other lab bits in the 4346 - Vet Operating Room (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4346)
i still think the CAT scan for cats is brilliant :D
-
http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=3361.0
and that link might help ;D
-
Thank you for the suggestions Tim!!
WOW!!! Gaston I had forgotten that!! Bill your work is amazing!!!
-
Attack on Precinct 13 might be a good photostory sire !!! This set up is superb , i watch the pics over and over again !!!!!! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
-
Don't forget cameras. Lots of them. And video cameras as well. Maybe some set has a measuring stick. Also tweezers, magnifying glasses, and those little 'tent' markers which I think came with that small crime scene set.
-
I think your station is superb as it is sire and no need to change it !!! But yuo can creat some photostories etc etc , i want more pictures of this station sire , more !!!! :picsplz: :picsplz: :picsplz: :picsplz:
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Maybe the 30 60 3390 - Tripod and surveying pole (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-60-3390) that's the only measuring thing I can think of
-
Thanks for the suggestions Jay and thanks for looking into that item Tim. I also notice the 4880 has some measuring tubes
George, I have not planned any photostories but Will be showing my police force in full strength shortly. ;)
-
What a great set up Sir Wolf. I think with the additional ideas you have now it will be a very complete PD. Having some more detectives would be great indeed but thats probably what you are bulding the extra office space for. If you are planning to do any police themes photo stories you really NEED acity morgue.
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your adaptions.
-
Sir Wolf with such cool creations the pressure is mounting from the rest of to see some photostories . Perhaps a story may strart with one of your detectives investigating a corpse cought in Suzanne's fishing net uhmmmmmmm ?????
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Gis, thank you for your encouragement! The helipad is on its way and now I need to hunt down these medical and science equipment for the CSI lab...
George, thats a really interesting idea ;D
-
This is fantastic, I keep looking at the tour photos over and over, there are so many details in each room. I really like your basic pod style layout of the building, allowing for all of the private offices, and activity centers. Looking forward to the addition of your helipad and your CSI unit. The hospital sets will provide lots of instruments and speciman containers but the robogang lab has the microscope.

Thank you for your feedback and advice kaethe! The microscope can be found in the 4469 - Expedition Ship (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4469) too... I just cant remember where I put it... :eh?: (the microscope not the ship)
-
Wow, this is a-ma-zing!!! :inlove:
You've thought of everything, even a cafeteria and the women on the phones! Imagine this being on the back of the boxes of the police-theme :D
I'm even seeing some stuff I've never come across before, like the place to make mug-shots.
Excellent building :confetti:
-
Thank you Birdie! I am glad you like it!!! :)
-
.. more pictures sire, we want to see more pictures !!!!
-
now u need a CSI team aswell.. including a garage for the cars!
one question.. why are people with a armoured vest sitting on desks?
-

one question.. why are people with a armoured vest sitting on desks?
Of course a CSI team will be created, but I am not that interested in the garage.
As for the bulletproof vests, i suppose you refer to the entrance officer, and the Special Units commander? well the second is ready to leave on a training course, if you notice the SWAT team have a theory class next door, and he is getting ready to take them to an open field :P ... and have you ever seen an entrance being guard by an officer without a bulletproof vest? ;)
-
Very cool setup Panos! opah!

Thank you for your comment Linda :)
-
Seeing this setup really makes me want them to make a police themed playmo movie (like the pirate one)
Thanks for sharing!!!
-
I'm catching up on older threads and I just saw this one, Panos, and your police station is magnificent! :wow: :wow: :wow: I didn't know you collected the police theme, but clearly you do! Your creation is truly impressive with so many thoughtful features and details. Seeing it makes me want to collect the police theme, but I just can't add another theme to my already too large collection.
-
Thank you Justin, I am glad you like it :)
I do collect a lot more themes than I let you guys know :-[
-
omg :o :o :o
thats simple amazing
wow
-
How on earth did I miss this? :o
This is fantastic Panos, such detail... :wow:

Thank you Elaine :)
Unfortunately no :-[ But I did thought of an excellent improvement of the building by adding the helipad to the more new police station, and by using the next helicopter, the whole project will be finally complete!!!
-
Hello Panos.
Your Police Department is great.
I like very much the building, you have done an excellent work with many wonderful details. It has everything and it's very realistic, congratulations. :)9 :)9 :)9 :)9 :)9 :)9
I don't collect this theme, but with pictures like yours maybe I will change my opinion and i will start to do it. Your creativity is fantastic. :high5:
Friendly George.
-
Thank you for your good words George :) I am glad you enjoyed this project.
I realised recently, as I said to Elaine above, that this is an ongoing project, so probably next year, a few updates will be in order ;D
