Hi,
the new redcoats are arrived at me. And they (and the pompoms) are really red - not the pale red of the older ones. I like the new and I think they won't stay alone ;D

These are really really great Volker!!! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us!! I am really anxious to have them here in Greece!!!!
I love the fact that these new redcoats have rifles and swords!!!! :yippee:
-
Very nice looking new redcoats, it will be a long wait for us in the US
-
Darn, they're soooo cute!
-
Very smart indeed, and thanks for the review and excellent photos.
I guess these could be used to create a British army for the American Revolution and the legs could be used in customs for Washington's army.
-
They look good, But I think I prefer the old ones to these.
The color scheme is off... even if it is historically correct, I don't like it. :P
Too bad they do not have the cross-belts either... :-\
But I do really like the captain. ;D
And I think if I took the time to customize him a bit
I would make a small troop of soldiers out of him. :!:

Thanks for sharing these pics as well, Vauban! :)9
I really like them, only too bad the privates don't have a short poneytail-wig (in brown, black or blond) like their officer.
I'm not sure about exchanging the sword-belt for crossbelts on these guys; crossbelts may hide the prints on their uniform too much because of the open-buttoned uniform-printdesign...
The ones that will come with the pirate-sets in August, have printed crossbelts that "cross" on their chest at a higher point then the plastic crossbelts, most probably for not interfering to much with the uniform-print.
-
I have an idea to make a cross-belt while still keeping the sword belt. :!:
I might even like the idea enough to buy a few of these guys... :)

I like them now, i think they will fit more nicely with the pirates , i do like the tall hat redcoats ( i have about 40 of them or so ) but these look so so soooo much better and they have swords also . awesome. 400 no less. i am asking some fellow playmofreinds to see if anyone can place that order for me .... :) :) :) :) :)

Yeap, 400 new redcoats , 20 new redcoat officers and will probably get 100 of the older type red coat officers ( with the blue cape ) for cavalry/lancers , i will use also mu exisiting tall hat redcoats ( around 40) for artillery crews and aux and the very old type redcoats ( around 20 ) for banner carriers and drummers . thats the plan anyway. Got to buy the klickies first!!! . Socrates has done me once a great favour and ask for me . i hope to get them and share some photos of a british redcoat army with you soon !!!!
Arnaud I am sure you can help with creating some awesome union jakcs of the era and british army flags Sire ?????

Obvious question, which I believe has yes for an answer, but:
Is the sword belt of the officer a new mold? (It must be larger than the "gordo" belt ...) :lens:

I have the same question, Gustavo.
Thanks for these pics. I can't wait to buy some of these to create a company or two. I currently have 24 of the old redcoats, but since these new ones are out, I won't have any need of them.

The captain, or officer...leader whatever... is awesome! I love the long coat. It would be better if the they have the grey wig from the new sets. But for the 3-soldier set...the leg is a little bit disappointing

Probably just the wider belt they normally use on fat klickies, they've done this before.
(f.e. the green conquistador-special 4742 also has the "fatguy"-swordbelt, because of his chest-armourplate)
-
I really like these redcoats, especially the boss man. Much better than the one found in the blister. Now that these are out, the blister's somewhat redundant.

Hadoque is right. It is the wider belt, no new mold.
