Title: Husar - 19th century
Post by: Hadoque on May 08, 2011, 06:17:14
VoilĂ ...

BTW:
1) The new horses are very welcome; a charge by a mounted soldier becomes more feasable again, like it was the case with the 1st Playmobil-horses.

2) The flag in the 2nd pic is an inside-joke for people knowing about the Belgian political situation... ;D  I was looking for an appropriate flag for this guy and I had this flag from one of the new knight-sets... Since it is (almost) identical to the Flemish flag, I couldn't resist  ;D
(Flemish people = living in Flanders = Dutch speaking Northern part of Belgium)

3) "BTW" (By The Way) is an abbreviation used in Flanders for taxes on goods, meals in restaurants, etc.  ;D
"Belasting op Toegevoegde Waarde" (translates as "Taxes on added value")

Great Husar!!! Good combination of the pirate torso and the Union legs!

Do you have a part number for the Husar hat?

Playmochris is seloing these hats, 11 euros each !!!!! So so so pricey and no desperately needed to create any 18th/19th century army......  very annoying these are so rare and so expensive, playmobil should remake them and change that awefull white coloured plume into a more appealing color also !!!!!

i need at least 100 of them but wont pay 1100euros for them !!!!!

I have three, the original ones that came with the victorian set that I have since I was a kid, but I did not like the grey strap on them back then and threw it away  :wall:

A very nice custom, Hadoque.

Your BTW is the same as our VAT.

The horse doesn't seem over enthusiastic, maybe as enthusiastic as a Belgian MP wanting to be PM!

That sounds as if you know what the letter said and if so it would be useful to know what it was.

Very good looking custom Hussar, Erwin!  All the pieces and colors really come together well and I like the new running horse. :)

Thanks, Justin!

  And one of them recently used the English proverb  "you can lead a horse to the water, but you cannot make it drink"  ;D
