Title: Problem with Greek Playmobil site?
Post by: playmofire on May 02, 2011, 16:25:59
I went onto the Greek PM site and when I clicked on the flag the screen for the Greek home page appeared briefly and then Firefox put up a message that it had prevented an automatic redirection to another page.  When I clicked on Allow, I got this warning message from Norton:

Malicious Web Site Blocked

You attempted to access:

http://playmobil-gr.customer.bisping.de/index.html

This is a known malicious web site. It is recommended that you do NOT visit this site. The detailed report explains the security risks on this site.

For your protection, this web site has been blocked. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.

Exit this site

Continue to site anyway

If you click on the link in the message you'll see what I mean.

Hmm, I remember towards the end of the Iliad one Trojan says to another, "Well, everything seems OK.  Are you sure you heard a noise from the horse?"

Maybe its that digital catalogue they are using for the products... its a software where you ''flip'' the pages of the actual paper printed catalogue online, and maybe that's what causing the trouble... I have not seen a similar software in other playmobil company websites.

But Gordon is right... ''beware of greeks bearing gifts''

The US and German sites have the digital catalogue too. I think they probably should be contacted about it.

 It is pretty funny that it would be the greek site this happens on!

Not connected with the problem with the Greek site I started a SuperAntiSpyware scan and it has shown up a trojan so far.  I'll keep you informed, Panos.

Sadly, if your personal/bank details got hacked, I rather doubt they'd wind up delivering the truckloads of Playmobil to you!

But as bb says: there'd still be a hole in your bank balance!

Thank you Gordon! Nothing showed up in my scan except from the usual tracking cookies!

Well, Andrew I have no banking details online just my low limit credit card on paypal. So i hope, if there is ever an issue, to be a painless one...
