That's great all. We will eventually need to see the competitors or have a detailed description so we can produce them for the images. Custom heraldry is ok as long as you can send us the image file for it.
I've ordered 32 of 30 21 8542 - Banner holder, three pegs, clip on back (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-21-8542) from DS. The plan is to have a banner for each competitor to be carried at the opening parade, then set on the sidelines during jousting. They will be used to indicate who is fighting each match as well. I will post a template eventually - if anyone has one already please feel free to post it. We will make up the design for you if you are unable to.

Also competing in this event:

Sir Sigismund of Sweetwater
Sir Bartholomew of Salish

so that's 7 spots so far, 25 open places still
This is open to any PF member, one knight per member

Awesome news Tim!!

I am in, The Kingdom of Belathre will send:

Sir Jaknoi Gacim

As a roaming knight he has no lands to take care of. He is a bit afraid to cross through Flowerland as the land (more specifically the Dragons) is very inhospitable.

At Animobil.info/shields/ there is a section for PF Jousting League/Knights. All knights that have previously competed have a page there with pictures. Many of the knights so far are returning ones. New ones will need to post their image and/or description here. I will be getting a page for this joust going soon and will include images of the planned competitors.

The page I found has a list and each name is a link. You can view each one by following the links. Is there an area where I can see them all at the same time ?

Animobil.info/shields has been updated. There is now a page for this tournament and a sub-page of the attending knights. That page has links to known knights and text for those yet to be specified. There is also a thumbnail gallery on the main Knights page in the League section. We are at 11 of 32 spots filled.
As we get them ready to go there will be new official portraits done of the attendees of this event. If anyone wants to add info to their knight's page just mail me what you would like.

Hey Tim! I think Knight Christopher will participate the Tournament. I first thought of making a whole new custom, but sending it to the US and back is a bit pushy, don't you think? (I mean, how much Playmo-geeks are we?)
Can you make a custom of the 3800 Ritter Christopher like Gis made, with your own collection and spares?

Cheers,
Arnaud

Hi,

i am very interested in taking part. i never took part in a playmo jousting tournament and would like to know the rules. can you please post a link.

and as i saw now cowaboungas KÖLN knight. i would like to ask if it is possible to get his armour

cowabounga : please tell me if there is a chance to get one of those  :wow:

you have to know that people from cologne ( köln ) are a bit "special" and love their city a lot !!!!  8}

Arnaud, It's not pushy to send a special knight. We can certainly reproduce your knight with parts here. If you would like a truly custom one just send me the image files to print out.

Skywalker - the only league rules right now apply to event hosts and have to do with scoring, and how ranking is determined. We will hold a slot for you and when you have decided on how your knight will look please post it here. Then we will do our best to reproduce it for the photos of the joust.  Sending an actual knight or digital files to print out and use are just fine if it is made with hard to get parts or custom heraldry.

Kingh Iseroth is most honored with the invitation and offers to His Majesty King Beniras III on behalf of the Lands of Sweetwater and His Highness King Esmond of Salish and Lower Luxonia on behalf of High King Bjardin of Pavelonia , 100 barrels of the famous strong Krull's Ale for the tournament as a gesture of friendship and goodwill. Krull will most certainly participate in this tournament and the honours will go once again to General Sir Agnar carrying Krull's Royal Banner of the Nuremberg . Sir Agnar despite his  majestic start at the Witnerhaven Jousting Tournament,  lost, something he has not forgiven his self for and something he is not acustomed to as the Jousting Champion of Krull for a decade now, he has been practicing since then on a daily basis as he has made a pledge to win the next tournament as a  goodbye gift to his recenly departed wife who was killed in Krull's Northern Forrest .

Sir Agnar will participate and details of his armour, shield, joust, horse , horses armour will be presented soon ( if needed i can post the klicky  ;) , please give me a few days till i visit my master playmo den in two weeks time ...)

Can The Vikings of Krull send their own champion or it would it be unfair to have two contestants from the same kingdom ???

PS: I just had a look at animobil, please note sir that General Sir Agnar has not yet been added to the list. In two weeks when i visit my den i shall be able to take a picture of him or i can PM if needed about his armour etc , wont be difficult to make !!!!

Animobil updated.

At this point no George, but if we don't fill the 19 remaining slots by the deadline then we may accept him.  At this point it's limited to one per Playmofriend member. Once we hit the deadline though then we may fill in with whoever looks like a good fit.
The plan is to have all of the entries filled before I leave for Germany. That way I can pick up any additional sets needed to build those we don't have yet.

A decree has been sent through out Melnibone and to the Kingdoms of Pavelonia and Sweetwater:  Elric of Melnibone son of King Adermaign will be representing Melnibone.

Elric of Melnibone Son of Adermaign the next King of Melnibone!

I don't have a horse with the wolf knight coverings but you can use what Gis used if you have one.

It would be cool if you could recreate Elric.  I can give you set numbers or part numbers if you need.

Thunder is heard in the distance, and a great plum of smoke rises.
The peasants of Rutileo halt in their work to watch.
Up the rode, two riders charge forth.
One in shining steal with a great lance and pennant, atop a magnificent beast of a war horse.
The next rides on a softer beast, burdened with equipment.
As the pennant is identified the peasants cheer! For it is Etir, the Tourney-man who rides forth towards the capitol.
The call has been sent, and he once again is off to the Tournament field.
:knight:

Here is Lord Etir, he has changed a bit since the last Tournament.
And I have added his squire as well.

Cool, I cannot wait! :D

Me neither , when i discussed with cowabunga the principles of design i had in mind, he came up with some brilliant suggestions that have been adopted . I cant wait to see him myself, he 'will go' first to Marketon and then return to Krull , hppefully as Champion, if that happens, boy that will be one photostory like no one before , the entire population of Krull welcoming the champion home. But its a long loooong loooooooong way to victory so I shall say no more !!!!

I hope to see more knight in here soon !!! C'on the participants post pictures of  your knights !!! The tournament is only a few weeks away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful work on those.

It's the deadline to say if you want to take part, you don't have to present the knight fully yet but it's nice to know.
We have a bunch of spots left so we will leave it open for entries until we are getting ready to start photography in June.

Is he one of your recent acquisitions in the Great Medieval Haul?
On a side note, I'm very stoked for this tournament.

Skywalker, I believe I have the knight himself but not the correct barding (horse clothes). If you aren't too picky about that then it would be no problem. If you can show a photo of what you would like the knight to look like in the next couple of weeks then we can try to put him together.

Including the Viking of Krull there are 18 participants, 14 spaces open yet. I believe a friend of Gis may be taking one of the spots.
I am thinking we might cut the field to 24 spots if we don't get a lot of additional entries. It would speed things up a bit and make the photo stage easier.

Sir Angar if he recalls correctly , he  defeated Ithacas champion Sir Jerry  in the last tournament. Perhaps Sir Agnar can teach Sir Odysseus a trick or two , he is happy to do so as Ithaca's champion poses no threat to him as neither did Sir Jerry .

A big thanks and the congragulations to Arnaud ( cowabunga) who also apart from General Sir Agnar has also created the second participant from Krull's kingdom , the champion of champions of the vikings in the northwest island of Krull and the most remote place of our world ( i hope krullis again in the northwest when the map comes back, I do miss it ...) , his name is ARNGEIR ( Eagle Spear ) and he is reputed to have never lost a battle / fight in his entire life !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beware the champion of champions of the vikings is here !!!!!

I just went back through the thread and realize I had missed Lord Alderran of Avelina on the list at Animobil. Sir Seamus Flynn will also be participating so that bring us to 20. I will be posting a new thread called Entries, Rules, and Die Rolls soon. That will be the last call for people to join up and get us started towards the active part of the tournament. If anyone is wanting to do stories related to the tournament you might want to start on those. We have 6 weeks until the tournament at this point and the die rolls will need to be done in about a week and a half to give us enough photo time.

... Somewhere, in a remote outpost on the eastern fringes of the empire, a knight has been called to the Hochmeister ...

" You'd call for me, Sir ?"
" Yes Josephus, it has been decided that you should attend the Marketon Summer Joust. It is upon you to uphold the honour of our Order."
" Erm ... me, Sir ?"
" Yes you. We've decided that you are the man for it."
" Thank you, My Lord. I will not disappoint you."
" I know you will uphold our honour. Now go quickly - otherwise you might be too late."
" I won't be. I'll be saddling my horse immediately."

Does anybody have a better or bigger picture of Ras' coat of arms (first page in this thread), I don't have it?
I guess it's from the Pirates theme, isn't it? A scan would be great, I could then make his banner...
