Amazing. Why should they put those online? :hmm:
The list includes sets that are not yet released in the US?!
Or do you already have these sets available?
4398 - Mitnehm-WesternCity (http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4398)
4366 - Tuning Station with Black Car (http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4366)
4365 - Tuning Station with White Car (http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4365)
Well, I guess heather will be really happy! :)

Thanks for the heads-up, Bonnie! This is a wonderful development.
There is something I can't figure out, though. I can't see any sort of list of all the available sets. When I press the button that says "370 show files" I can only see 8 sets pictured or if I put in a specific set number (different from the original 8) I can see that set but I can't figure out how to see a list of all the sets with available instructions. Is there a way to do that? Maybe I need a software update or something. ???
-
No they aren't here yet, they have the entire farm and harbor series that just came out.
I suspect this will be up at all the sites eventually, they just got the US one up first - or weren't supposed to have released it yet.

. . . There is a page bar across the bottom with arrows to go forward a page
Hi Tim! I figured there must be something like that, but it doesn't show up on my screen. There is a note at the bottom of the page that says "Done, errors on page" so I am thinking I need to update something.
-
OK, so if I use Firefox I can see the page bar to advace to other pages of the building instructions list. I have done everything I can think of to Internet Explorer, including upgrading to IE9 but I still can't see the page bar. :hmm: Does anyone have any other ideas?
-

Oh yes - tears of joy over here. Thanks for pointing it out, Bonnie! I'm downloading everything, in case they ever disappear. They're such high quality images, I'll have no trouble improving the part pictures quite a bit. There's loads of add-on sets here too, which are very hard to find plans for.
My first priority is to get sets with newly-acquired plans out of the wishlist! I also need to make it show on the page whether the plans are available to download from the official site. After that, I'll inventory those new sets and complete any incomplete inventories, then start upgrading pictures. I figure I'll be at it all spring.

Yeah... use firefox! I hate internet explorer, ditched it a long time ago!

This is a fantastic development, and should help everyone enormously, in assembly if they lost their instructions, ordering spare parts (if they're available), and choosing what sets to buy based on their contents.
Well done Playmobil!
-
Finally, what the heck was the hold up. They have the money, they have the staff, they have the info, they have the platform to share so why be so secretive about plans ? Its not like they were making a fortune on selling replacement plans.
Thank you Geobra

Good grief, girlfriend! Can we help out in any way, shape, or form? Otherwise your fingers will be worn down to mere nubs by the time you are finished. :omg:

I think this is a very smart move on Playmobil's part. The biggest complaint from parents is that they lost the instructions and parts. Having the instructions on-line makes it possible to reassemble complicated houses, etc and figure out what part goes with what set.
Hopefully they will be able to go back a few years a get a few of the old houses and castles.
-
thank you bb and everyone !
and Heather for what youre doing and about to do for the next few months
(I havent seen it yet but my mind is racing already :P)
...and Heather, your website will now be the undisputed uno primero PM resource website for us collectors ;D
this is yet another major breakthrough...finally, we no longer have to envy our cousins, the LEGO collectors... hehe!!

:yippee: Excellent news! Maybe Playmobil execs really are listening to us ;D

There is a page bar across the bottom with arrows to go forward a page
I'm having the same problem that Indianna is having with the page. I don't have the arrows to go forward or backward on the page with the building plans. I do have backward and forward arrows for the pages that have sets to order. (I'm using AOL which uses some strange version of IE.) I just tried using IE9 (without going through AOL) and it still doesn't have the arrows to move forward. Has anyone using IE been able to view more than just the first page of 8 sets?
-
apparently not Rona. I can't see them with IE but when I open the site with firefox (same computer) I get to see eveyrthing. Pages numbers and arrows.
-
I have been using firefox for years. Ditch explorer!
-
I have been using an old version of fire fox and I can see it. I can not play a lot of playmobil video's on the internet due to the version being so old but the arrows are there this time.
I have not tried to down load any yet. I was wondering why they do not just have them as links to full instructions
-
You can click download and then just open it instead of saving it. It's a pdf file.

Hello,
thanks for this good info
The database work well with "Google Chrome" too. Sadely, not under "Safari" for the Apple users.
Greetings,

I've made a full list of the sets for which plans are available at Playmobil USA. They've gone to great lengths to make sure the plans can't be linked to individually, so you'll have to do your own searching, but this list will tell you whether or not the plans are available.
http://playmodb.org/downloadable.shtml (http://playmodb.org/downloadable.shtml)
I drew up this list by hand, so it may change - in fact, I just looked at the search page and there are now 366 sets instead of 370, but I'll have to go through all 45 pages again to find out which 4 are missing, or if there are more than 4 removed and new ones added. If anyone discovers that any on my list are no longer available, please let me know.
-
Hi Heather!
I was able to get all of them on the first day - I have compared my list to yours and it looks like the 4 missing ones are:
4756 (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?q=4756&q+.x=24&q+.y=8)
4374 (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?q=4374&q+.x=23&q+.y=7)
4398 & 4399 (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?q=4398&q+.x=45&q+.y=4)
If you would like, I can email the PDFs to you. Just let me know. :)

I have all 370, thanks Anne - tedious, eh? I'll be checking back every once in a while to see if anything else has changed, but there's no easy way to do that - have to page through and mark off the numbers. I'm going to draw up the inventories for those four first, since the plans aren't available. New (and newly discovered) numbers for western sets!
-
I am hoping that new additions will just get added on to the end pages since they don't have them showing in numerical order. :crossed:
