Title: What would you be willing to spend on set 4199?

I found this pretty fairy set from a store in IL but they want to charge $53.87 shipped. Shipping alone is $13.88 (UPS), they would not hear me out and ship it Priority for cheaper.
So would you pay that much for this set?

PS: I cannot post any pic ...not sure what I am doing wrong...

That sounds average if MISB, & it's considered retired. There is one listed as Buy it Now on eBay for $48.23 with $27.83 shipping from Canada to the USA total is $76.06.

That does sound pretty reasonable, though too bad they won't ship it cheaper. To post pics, you'll need to host them on a site like photo bucket or image shack. Photo bucket is better, because members in South America have trouble seeing image shack pics. Both sites are free.

And when you're uploading pics on photobucket, be sure and use the bulk uploader, even if you're just uploading one picture. It's easier to use, because you can see thumbnails of the pics as you select them.

lol, I have all the other little sets (4194, 4195, 4196, 4197, 4198 and 7463). I got them at around 50 to 60% off, that's why I have a hard time paying so much for this one!
I have my Mom looking around in toy stores near her (in France) in case she can spot it. I am not planning on giving those sets to my 6 year old for another few  months...

i got mine for $40 last year, so your price IS reasonable :) (shipping can make the total amount a pain in the *** though)

They have it on sale at playmobil.de for only 15€.

I guess it will be on sale at playmobil.com some day for a similar price... :)

It's not on Playmobil.com anymore. It is a retired set. Gives me hope that it can still be found in Europe though. ;)

I would say that's a fair price.  It's not inflated above the regular price and you do have to pay for shipping costs (not just postage - but the packaging, etc). 

I agree with you, though.  It is hard to pay full price for any Playmobil sets and I am not sure if I can remember paying full price for any sets.  Well, maybe I did for my oldest daughter's 5300 but I bought pretty much all the furniture sets for about half price at Winners.  Oh!  I also paid full price for a whale deep sea explorer special set from Costco last fall.  I have more time than money, so I wait.

Not to mention there is more Playmobil than I can afford so even if I only buy the sale items I can find then that's good. 

I do find patience to be a virtue in practice, not just in theory, and it has paid off just to wait.

So funny you said that! Earlier today I bought that set new on ebay for $38.50 shipped! I had a $15 ebay gift card so I ended up paying $23.50 for the set! The box is opened but the clear packages inside are sealed. Can't wait to receive it!! I think I'm going to give it to my oldest daughter for Easter. :)

So glad I waited and did not buy it from that online store!
