Hi everybody,
I found this forum not too long ago and finally decided to become a member. I am from France but have been living in the US for the past 14 years! (can't believe it's been that long)
I have known about Playmobil for a long time ; I received my one and only set when I was 5. Now I am buying Playmo for both my daughters. I am such an amateur compared with so many members on this forum though! Hope you are patient with me. :-[
If anyone from Northern Virginia knows about a local toy store that carries Playmobil (besides Toys R US) , please let me know!
Thanks for having me!

Hello and :welcome: from Louisiana!!! Great to have you with us! Most of us have gained a lot of our expertise by learning from each other, so you stick around here and you won't feel like an amateur for long. ;) In fact you'll probably find your collection expanding three times as fast as it used to. Hope you have a great time here!

Do you ever order items from Playmobil.com DS, or other online toy store options? ???

I have ordered from Playmobil.com and from Ridge Road Station. Unfortunately I discovered RRS only a few months ago and they are now closing... I'm hoping to find a local toy store to see if they offer a larger selection and maybe still carry older sets compared to the tiny TRU we have here. I found that many other online stores charge the same if not more than Playmobil.com.

I have some sources of well stocked Playmobil independent toy stores if you're intersted. What theme are you most interested in?

Welcome from San Francisco. You have joined one of the friendliest and most helpful forums for Playmobil, but as others have warned you, it is also the most dangerous for your wallet! Wishing you many hours of playmofun with your children.

Believe it or not I am still trying to figure out how to post pictures! :-[ On this other forum I belong to, all you need to do is upload pics to a site like shutterfly.com , copy the picture and paste it in your post but it doesn't work here. ???
Do I need to upload my pictures in the album section first and then copy / paste? I am clueless!
-
I've never used shutterfly before, so I'm looking at it trying to understand exactly how it works. The one I use is photobucket (it's free). On that site, you have to upload and then resize the photo, I use 640x480, and then you can copy the image code and paste it here and it should show up in the post. Shutterfly is probably similar, but if you can't get it to work, i do recommend photobucket. If you use the bulk uploader, it's easy to use.

It works!! Woohooo! Thank you so much! I would copy the pic, not the code! It's tiny but I' ll try to figure out how to make it bigger.

I will, promise. It might take me a while though, my 10 month old keeps me busy. ;)

Welcome from the Midwest,
