Many here may know this but I just found out that the Funpark in New Jersey closed this past January. Very sad news.:(

I believe I was aware of that, but cannot remember fully... ???
Still, it is very unfortunate,
as I visit New Jersey more often then Florida. :P

Another sad development! :'(

I think the New Jerset location was only the Funstore (no Funpark). either way it is a shame.

It was a fun store not a funpark as I previously said.

maybe a good idea to change the thread title as its confusing ....

I've changed the funpark word to funstore in all replies. As a result you can see the message at the end of every post edited by Wolf Knight.

Was there a lot of stuff going on in New Jersey to justify a big store? I know the distribution warehouse is there, so was it just convenient to put it there? Why not put one in New York or San Fransisco some tourist destination, how about in my neighborhood  we have loads of wine tourist and we could use more traps ;)

No personal interests is there Ras?

It was posted on Playmobil's US Facebook account that the lease on the shop space ran out. No comments were made about what will happen from now. The shop was in a mall and those spaces can be quite expensive. The only reason the company I work for still has one of our mall stores is because the mall dropped the rent quite a bit to keep us there. If the rent was going up and the store wasn't profitable enough it would make sense for them to let the lease lapse.
