I buy at the dutch market place the polar lab 3460 in the original box
I already have the Dino ex 3191 now i only need the 3469 or 3696
-
comparing with dino ex 3191

What a coincidence! Last night I scored the #3191 snow cat, though it's missing the wench, roof light bar and the protection frame on the front :(.
Inspired by your vehicle, I also intend to make a special fire fighting vehicle out of it.
-
These are my custom brush fire fighting vehicles, Luciano.

Great acquisition Peter! When I had them they were some of my favorites!
-
Congratulations on a great buy!

That's an excellent buy, Peter. I especially like the alternative units to go on the back, one with solar panels and one with a communications dome.
-
Bill, I was wondering if you didn't have anything similar. Silly me to doubt it .
I want to make something in the lines of what you and Peter made, but unfortunately my cat is missing the wench, roof light bar and the front roll cage (or whatever that part is called). So I'll have to get creative. The part that I think is the worse not to have is the wench :hmm:.

Let me check around. I had some extra parts, but I don't remember what if anything was wrong with them. I'll hold up on sending the HAZ MAT figure until I let you know what I've got. I know I have the cable winch you need, & maybe some of the roof cable guide & front protector shield. :crossed:
-
Really?!? Dude, that would be fantabulous! :woohoo:
For the other parts I'm confident I can cook something suitable as a replacement, but the wench would be a bear to make out of scrap.
Originally I was thinking of making something like Peter did, a tracked water canon (maybe using the pump and water cannon of the #4825). I just have to first receive the snow cat, so that I have an idea of dimensions, and then I'll start thinking hard about what I'm going to put on the bed.
-
I'll let you know this after noon on the parts. Check out my PCFD Brush fire fighting units photo story to see the 3 custom Sno Cats in action. Also PCFD District 1 Station 3 is where they are assigned, so check out that photo story too.

If you post the pic in a way that it's clickable (if you click on it you go to the IS page, like the ones above), I can see if I click and go to the page.
But if you use the regular photo code:

I can't see them (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/hittinghead.gif).

I've got good & bad news, Luciano. Good news is I've found that I have all of the parts you need for the Sno Cat. The bad news is the previous owner of the front cab shield & roof cable guide did something that I don't like. The owner permanently super glued the 4 roof spot lights to the roof cable guide. It doesn't cause a problem that I'm aware of, but it's not a procedure that I like. Look at the pictures, & if you still want them they're yours.

Bill, no problemo whatsoever! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/cheers.gif)
I was going to use them as intended anyway, but if I do have to take them apart it's not impossible, superglue or not with that kind of plastic ;).

That polar set is on my wishlist, it's a great looking set with some interesting pieces. Congratulations on finding one at a good price

-
there is a vehicle parked close to my home on which it seems the 4046 was based for its design... there are days, when I look at it, that I am very tempted to go get that 4046...
-
Succumb to temptation, Panos, it's a nice set.
Look forward to seeing the THW bridge transporter, Peter.

I just saw the real thing again just close to my home. Its in a municipal parking lot close to the external ring road of the city... oh my hand is itching...

When I first saw this truck in pictures I knew I had to have it. Now I have 3 and I still want more as it really is a great truck. I would also recommend the sweeper as those small plastic pieces are a pain to pick up and that machine does it so well. Then when you get those to I would recommend the..................
