Title: Lord of the Rings

I decided to create LotR figures out of Playmobil! :D
So here they are.

First, from the great White City,
Defenders of the free people,
Gondor!

I have never done anything so bold as to past over a shield,
But I love it! And it will be the first time out of many... :D

(Actually, the shield is completely "scar-free" reversable. ;) )

I've seen costums of the fellowship of the ring.....and the seven caracters were amazing. I'll try to send you that to give you more ideas!

yes nine sorry..... I think I have the pics in my office computer, it was an ebay auction from a year ago.... I hope I have them still. I'll check today. :wave:

So you finally made the step and customised a shield! Great job WoT, I love them all, but I favour the one with the Gondor shield. I envy this wonderful green feather you used on the Roman/Rohan helmet, did you know we can't get them here?
Just one tiny thing maybe...dismounted lancers? Aren't all the Rohans supposed to be riders?

nop they were not the same. It was an old auction from a german seller I think. I kept the pics because I liked the customs, but I can't find them now, sorry. I'll keep looking. :'(

Yup, Now I am addicted to customizing them! >:D
I am already thinking of a way to customize a few Rohan shields.

Yes, Rohan are riders. But they can dismount.
And they were all dismounted at the battle of Helms deep, until the end.
I am planning on making any future Rohan riders as riders,
But I can always dismount them if I want infantry.

Then made it to the right dimensions,
Then printed it, and cut it out. :)

But I would have switched the arms and helmet. :)
Yes, my green dudes are Rohan Riders. :love:

I am going to do something similar with the shields,
But only for a few of them.
If you watch the movies very closely,
Rohan is not a military state. It is an agricultural one.
Thus, they have poorer armor,
And no "standard" for their armor or weapons.

I am going to make my Rohan Riders look a little more rugged.
Most will have a shield like the one in the pictures,
And there will be several different klickies that I am going to use,
With different armor and colors.

I will definitely have some Rohan Riders by then,
But not to sure how many men of Gondor. (If any.)

I am going to change around my list a bit though,
So maybe Gondor will be mover up. :)

@WoT: If you want to keep them "rugged", then you're right, use different clickies. Several outfits will avoid the "uniform" look, but regarding the weapons: aren't they all gonna wear a long lance or a spear?
I have this image in my mind of the Riders of Rohan slowly bringing their lances down as they charge, a chearful moment in the movie...(with Gandalf riding in front, but maybe I'm mistaken)
I have to be true to you guys, I never read beyond the Two Towers...some friend of mine told me how the LoTR ends.
Then I saw the movies.

I like the 3rd movie's battle of Pelennor Field (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2C32OR8Nu4). :love:

But yeah, all of my riders will have a spear or lance.
But there will be ones with swords, ones with axes.
Some with small shields, some with large shields.
Some with shields slung on their back,
Others with capes; and finally, a couple archers. :)

Glad they are my allies !!! When the Nuremberg guards are re released i will get a 1000 of them and my Kings Army will be the biggest / meanest army in mediaval Playmo world and we shall take over the mediaval playmo world Sir WoT (incidently i have my Napoleon's costume on )
