Title: Happy day in grey B.A.
Post by: tonguello on September 29, 2010, 16:38:54
Hey friends!
Yes it is a horrible day in B.A. A fine and annoying rain is falling down. Actually it is like coming from the sides so umbrellas are useless. Sky is white-grey....but I have a lot of blue and pink to be happy about!!!!
I can't believe they are here.
I bought my first Mansion MIB, first big building in fact. I love it absolutly. I never thought it was so big and heavy.
The forest feast was delivered this morning. It is used but in amazing exellent conditions. The box looks like it left the factory yesterday!. I    this set! So many amazing details!!!!

I love of course the Mansion though as it is the first time I can see one upclose, I was a little disappointed by the fact that there is no staircase nor fabric curtains, except in the attic. Anyway I can't wait to put it together. Funny thing is I didn't noticed that the box inside had 2 level. SO at first I was desperated (for about 10 minutes) about the fact I couldn't see the clickies and some other big pieces!

This is a happy day. I'm still waiting for my pirtae ship, my castle and a big medieval lot! I can't buy anything else till next year I think!!

Cheers!
Gaston.

Congrats on your purchases, Gaston.  Looks like you have a lot of fun in store for you.  I only have a few pieces of the 5301, that I got in a lot I bought on EBay, but it looks as if you can interchange the curtain rods and curtains from the 5300 and 5305 with the 5301.  Can you get the staircases in Buenos Aires?  If not, they sell the staircase for about $8 each here in the states.
The forest feast is one of my favorites too.  PlaymoFriends has turned me on to the Knights and  Pirate themes.   Who knew?

Hi Joe thanx!
I plan to buy the staircase and extension floor in the states through a friend of mine who lives in California. It's a pitty not even one comes with the set. I don't have the any other mansion but I'll check what you said about the curtains! thanx for the info.

Hi!
Nice purchases! The merry Men's one of my favourite boxes. Some really interesting parrts in it, especially the HUUUUGE barrel. Some musical instruments too. It's just too bad the Nottingham Sheriff didn't have a visor on his helmet. You can still add it, but since you're never going to open this box...
How can you resist temptation???
(open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D (open it!  >:D open it!  >:D )

hi guys! thanx for the comments!! I can't wait till saturday to put the mansion together!!!!! Im thinking I just got to a point where I can't display EVERYTHING like I would like becuase I run out of space. So I would have to choose from my favorites. I'd like to keep the mansion on display but I guess it is too big. I never saw one before....
BTW.... the pavilion that can be added.....can be attached to the side of the house or is it like an independent gazebo for the garden??

@Arnaud. I always open the boxes!!!! this one is already opened and on display!!!!    . I comented about someone else not opening their boxes but I always do!!!!!    I wouldn't keep my clickies prisoners in those dark cells!!!!  0)

Gaston,
The pavilion was meant to be a stand alone item.  I think you would need two triple female wall connectors (30 24 9700) to attach the pavilion to the house, one for the front and one for the back and the open wall frame (30 05 7020) from the 5300 mansion.
It doesn't look like the roof portion of the pavilion would fit up against the house, so you may have to go with the patio floor section (30 64 1090) and the fence base (30 05 7030) from the 5300 mansion (this would not match in color.)  I've seen all of these for sale on EBay.  Sounds like a lot of work and extra expense, but I'll bet you would have a lot of fun trying it.

Thanx Joe. I'll think about it. I still have to study the mansion as it is! First steck of this complexity for me. I only had old western houses which basically are like shoe boxes!

Thanx Justindo! jealosy is something I feel a lot aroud here too!
I finally had some time to sit down and enjoy setting this house up. I loved it. I won't make a review for I believe it must have been done a hundred times. All I will say is that this steck pices are great, the fit is perfect and I can move the house around in one piece without any problem! Im amazed at how heavy it is! wow!
As an architect I realy enjoyed and loved the details that Playmobil got us used to. I'm in love with this house. Can't wait to set up stories and play. Nevertheless I have the feeling I would like better the 5300 for it has a more victorian flair.

Here are some pics of the just finished house. More to come later!

Here more pics with all I could put inside. Never mind there are some things that don't make sense (like the patio furniture inside) but I just wanted to fill it up!

Great pics, Gaston!  I can see that you are really enjoying it. Your display is almost like an edition of "Where Is Waldo?"  I see a lot of my favorite figures, love the nun in the attic.   Looks like you will need the extra floors!  I am extremely jealous.  >:D

Excellent photos, Gaston, and you're certainly making the most use of the space.  I like the little boy on the stilts, btw; I've never seen him before.
