These guys are an addition to the ranks of my good king's opponent, the malevolent Duke...

They are a rank above the Black Guard.... (to remind you I've organised the army of the Duke in Guards, Black Guards, Black Knights and Dark Sentinels).....

No, they are keen mean fighting machines, they do not need support! But they can command simple footsoldiers -the Guard, who are usually mercenaries, if their captain is not present! ;D ;D ;D
They can work together though, or , as usually happens, its every man for himself!!! If they show great skill or accomplish something great, usually nasty, they are promoted to the Dark Sentinels....

Cool figures! The guy on the end is a little different from the rest, is he a particular character?
If there are six Dark Knights, how many Dark Sentinels are there, and are the numbers fixed?

Hi Martin!! Thanks for your question!!! I helps me work on the scenario a little more!!!
The double axe, light colour armored knight is the leading figure of this group. He used to be a 3315 Dark Knight...but he could not accept or embrace the balancing philosophy between good and evil his brethren have (like the unicorn knights and green dragon knights)
So he left the group and found his way to the Duke's court, thus taking up the task of training the Black Knights on how to move further into the dark side... >:D >:D >:D He is actually the one that lays the ground for them to enter the Dark Sentinels ranks...
There will be more Black knights of course... I have not yet descided on the numbers but I think I'll have twenty Dark Sentinels...so the Black knights need to be around 50 or more....so, got to work more on new black knights....
I'll also need to work on the Dark Sentinels design....

I've decided to actually change the Black knigths a bit...most of them will remain the same...but couple of them will be altered...

I have actually decided on a few changes! So stay tuned for the new developmet of these knights...and I will also eventually show you the Dark Sentinels!

Ok so I've decided in the final look of these knights! I've removed the full plate armoured knight(...as i have other plans for him...). To give them a cohesion look I will stick with the same armour and helmet! But i will give them different torsos and maybe legs, if they match! I also changed the horns of their commanding knight....

I like the new organised appearance of these Knights.
They are just as fierce, but more organised and ready to defend their Kingdom.
A suggestion for the Dark Sentenials,
Perhaps to show their strength they could weild twisted evil looking polearms in one hand.
And I have a few Armor ideas, but I would much prefer seeing what you come up with! :yup:
But they will be no match for my Fanatics! 0)
These Knights of Christ are not afraid to die
even for a small offense such as a jest against their Lord!
(Least-wise not the fanatics, the highest Knights of the order.)

I don't think I'd use polearms for them... maybe maces is the best solution... they are trained mostly for extreme melee... The polearms will remind me a lot of the siege in Helm's Deep and I don't want that...

My emperor can sent his army of 1200 klickies and destroy that evid duke that he believes is in alliance with the viking barbarians invading the outposts of the empire ( the monastery , fishing port, woods ) as well as the evil dragon army.... :lol:
Nothing can stand to my emperor's army ... by next summer it will be 2000 i reckon and hope !!!!

Throught history there are stories of much smaller armies defeating bigger ones.
At Alesia, Ceasar nearly lost though he had a larger army.
Through Gorilla Warfare they managed to pester his army for a long time
and pierce through the Roman forts.
Even a much, much smaller army has a chance to defeat a larger one with a thoughtful,
inspiring, and a brilliant general. :)

Oh no the Duke is in alliance with noone... he assimilates opponents or he destroys them completely.... he shares his rule with noone!
That is why my Good King is the only one who can stop him!!!
