Now that i have a new computer and new camera i can actually start posting, rather than use my mother in laws computer to lurk on the forum. Anyway i digress, i noticed some time ago on my 3666 castle box that my nobleman from the set is rather different than the one depicted on the cover.

My old 3666 box cover

My nobleman from the set, same printing as depicted on the set on his chest.

My nobleman from the back. Not the gold chevron as on the box, but the green and yellow tower on the back of the two soldiers in 3666.
I was wondering does anybody else have this or does your klicky have the gold chevron printed on the back? Or for that matter does anyone have any other interesting anomalies?

I have 8 3666 castles!!! All the noblemen klickies have the green and yellow tower coat of arms at their back. I have noticed the box since my fourth castle...really really weird...

Thanks for letting me know Wolf Knight. I bought this set a few years ago and only noticed in 2008 when i was reorganising my boxes and storage. I thought maybe i had a printing error and didn't know how common it was. If you have eight men with the tower, then maybe the box cover was an early prototype.

I have never noticed that before.
I have my set and figures photographed and just checked my images.
My figure is the same as yours.
When I checked my box images which are not very large I noticed on one side of the box an image of the king on horse coming out of the opening drawbridge and it appears that the front of him has no print?
It is not very common to find prototype figures like this on Playmobil images, but the most common one is the black playmobil figure in the crows nest on the early 3550 sets with white hands.
The same figure also appears on the back of the UK 1984 catalogue with the other figures one with one piece arm and one with twisty wrist arms.

Great detail Sir Gareth!!! Thanks for pointin it out!!!
-
Interesting Sir Gareth, thanks for pointing that out. So it seems like the yellow tower on the back was a production constant, rather than a mistake after all.
