I think the black piece is a stretcher handle:
30 09 4000 - Stretcher handle (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-09-4000)
The red one looks familiar but I can't think what it is at the moment   ???

I think you're right, Elaine.  I thought it looked familiar but couldn't place it, despite having the mountain rescue set.

I am still very curious about the red piece if anyone knows what it is, please? :)

I have absolutely no idea where it comes from but it is definately Playmobil ;)

Could you show the red piece from another angle please, Damo?

Sorry for the delay, Grandma's been taken into hospital so no time to take photographs but here they are now:

Nothing too serious, I hope, Damo.

2 small heart attacks. Last night when we visited her she still couldn't breathe very well, but I think she is getting better :prays:

We wish your Grandmother a speedy recovery, Damo :*)! BTW, I'm wondering if the red part is actually Playmobil :hmm:!?

Thanks, everyone :)

She is feeling much better today, and after another scan this morning it turns out that it was two blood clots above her lungs which was why she had trouble breathing. But she is definately on the road to recovery :)

Do you really think so? :-[

All the best to your grandma...

I would also say it is not playmo.
It looks quite like playmo but like no part I have ever seen.

The lower part looks like something mechanical, like a trigger/spring or something.
I am not aware that playmo ever build something like this.

best,
socrates

Good to know your grandma is better Damo. Mine is 95 years old and she has a mind sharp as a knive!!!

As for the part, could it come from a vehicle?
