PLEASE SHOW MORE! :yup:
Very nice Richard, thank you! That chromed armor sure looks nice when it is new.
That's a super castle Richard - and it all looks so new! :wow:
Loved the touches of humour in the guided tour  - what happened to Otto and Warin?
Thanks for sharing the great pictures Richard.
Ah, so you're one of those who only takes the Playmo out of their pristine boxes with the white cotton gloves then? ;)
Wow what a beautiful castle :o It really does look like it has never been touched. The colors are so vivid. Some of your pictures should be on Playmobil's boxes.
I keep going back and looking at them over and over
Thanks for posting this story :wow:
Rasputin "The Mad Monk"

An Amazing Castle Richard!!! :o :o :o
It really is a sight to behold!
A really great castle!!!
very nice castle and scenery
a question that burns for a while ,
I don't understand how you can retire from playmo
I shure understand that you can take a break , like I noticed several people doing here
because real life often interfears ,health , no more space , other priorities etc ...
but retire ?
Richard thanks for sharing. Great set up and pictures ... Great pictures also and the story lines are very nice. thanks for sharing all that . My favourites have always been the old medieval series and this castle is p e r f e c t !!!
I don't believe rumors,
I think what happened to Otto and Warin is exactly what you said... :(o): ;)
Great castle, Richard and David. :wow: :wow: :wow:
The pictures are fantastic, and I really liked the ones taken by the stork ;D
Really nice story Richard, and wonderful pics of the castle. The one thing i really liked to see was the carpenters & masons working inside the castle. They were a nice touch to the reality inside of the castle. Thanks for sharing. :wow: :wow: :wow:

I missed this thread so far! Thank you so much for sharing, Richard, I just love it!
This is a wonderful castle.
This is an beautifully designed and build castle Richard! It looks simple, yet with complicated touches...and a variety of characters....
My major question is how did you paint the colour on the roofs and klickies? airbrush??? ???
And, to answer your question: The roofs and Klickies are all original Playmobil. No paint was used.
But the colour is so vivid!!!!
On the subject of colours i have noticed ove rth epast 3 decades that direct sunlight can affect colours in a negative way especially sets of the 70s and 80s.... :)
Richard, Where do the large double arches come from ???

the tree last pictures is a clicky from add parts? i prefer the silver plated night do you know why they stopped producing items silver plated such as glases plates knifes helmets etc richard? :(
I don't know for sure, but it may be because it was too expensive.
I know the original chromed finish used to wear off in time thus diminishing the look of the items, and possibly there was worry about children ingesting the paint that wore off?
The 4434 Silver Knight was a 25th Anniversary item (I think), and the silver finish is different to the original chrome finish. I hope it doesn't rub off in time. The 4430 30th Anniversary Gold Knight is similar to the 4434 Silver Knight. Both weigh slightly more than a Klicky wearing the same armour and no shiny finish, so I believe there is actual metal in the coating.
Has there been a 35th Anniversary set? I haven't seen one, but it should surely have been released last year.

I have the Gold Knight,
And though the paint will not wear off, it will grow dull if you don't polish it!
And I am 100% sure there is metal in the armor of the aniversary knights.
There is pure gold in the golden anniversary knight and that is stated on teh carton also . I have 6 of these and they do look nice as royal knights or something , prefer them on foot though , white horses dont look very mean especially the new ones ... 0)
realy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o they will be on the add on catalogue or in boxes at the current catalog they will have the old simle foot or with shoes or boots??
