Title: Fishing Up stream
Post by: Rasputin on February 11, 2010, 05:04:41
Hello

A few weeks back we went on a bike ride with the kids to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. We all brought a back pack each of our Playmobil selections. Here is what I brought and tried to photograph. I was trying for the look of a fishing expedition that ventured up stream on their trolling motor near the mouth of a river :eh?: I was quite worried that if the boat capsized I would loose a lot of stuff quickly :omg:

Great photos Rasputin!  :wow: This is where that glue gun that Tim and Martin would come in handy! That is a wonderful little stream, the boat looks quite at home and thank you for sharing this with us.

Great photos, Ras, and one of the most sought after (if not the most sought after) piece of Playmo.  Thanks for sharing.

Excellent fishing boat and scenes! They really should re-release that boat, it's perfect.

As Gepetto says, a mini-glue gun and your capsize worries are over. I got a gun and 100 glue sticks for under $10.

Hi, Ras ...

Your outdoor photos are magnificent! ...  :wow: :wow: :wow:

You have the magic touch of scale! Everything in your photos seems to be in perfect scale with Playmobil. I know from experience that to produce a "to scale" photo either takes a lot of planning or a lot of the "magic touch" ...

Very impressive!

All the best,
Richard

Hi Richard

Well maybe someday we can trade secrets. you on how you make things magically "fly" and me "to scale"  ;)

Thanks you for the compliments :wow:

Gepetto

Hi Gepetto

I know and I have seriously considered it but it just seem like cheating and not having everything glued down ads a lot of adrenalin to the whole event, and let me tell you I am an adrenaline junkie

Hey Ras, it looks like they caught more fish than you did on your trip ! Great pictures showing an awesome boat & scenery  :wow:!

Hi Bill

Yes these Klickies are professionals and I am just a measly sport fisherman who catches more Z's than anything

Hi Peter

Thank you, I am really liking the outside photos as well. There is so much influence from all our PF members

Great photos, Ras, and one of the most sought after (if not the most sought after) piece of Playmo.  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gordon

Thank you for the kind compliment. All I need to do is find the missing small parts or learn how to make them.

Excellent fishing boat and scenes! They really should re-release that boat, it's perfect.

As Gepetto says, a mini-glue gun and your capsize worries are over. I got a gun and 100 glue sticks for under $10.

Hi Martin

Yes if only Geobra would but seeing their current trend a "fishing boat" would be pretty low on the list

it's wonderful
it's look like reality

Hi Manu

Thank you, as far as I know it is real, the fish was a bit rubbery but you just have to cook it slowly  ;)

Wonderful photos Ras :wow:
I really love that boat and it's great to see it on the water

Elaine

Hi Elaine

It is one of my most favorite boats playmobil ever made and it felt great to set her loose, well on a short leash  ;D

Your boat and outdoor photos are superb! :wow: :wow:
There is a couple of pictures that reminded me of the
movie "African Queen", although the boat is quite different.

Well done!

Best regards,
Jimbo

I love the way you've provisioned boat and put it in this magnificent outdoor scenery!  The pictures have beauty and convey a bit of the nervousness of the crew and still have bit of humor.  Well done.

These pictures look so real and in harmony with the surrounding nature

You can almost hear the fishermen speaking amongst themselves  :)

ditto everyone's comments.  i agree with karim, you can hear them talking about heading back to port, now that they are in the calmer waters, thinking about their families or sweethearts.
