Looks like Bikini Girl has some friends.

My favorite is the Sun Bather! (see below)

it's the first klicky who has visible pectoralis major muscles. :hmm:
i don't know what playmobil is trying with this figurative-and-at-the-same-time-abstract anatomic designs and i think they don't know either.
we have often heard of lego's jealousy - they would be jealous of the playmobil's "figure" potential and of meccano's "mechanical" potential.
it now seems that this jealousy is attacking playmobil - they are jealous of mattel's barbie and ken. >:D
-
Love the 4864 Lady with the fish - is it a bag? - really like her hair. I'll have to look out for these, living by the sea they would be great for a beach scene (mind perhaps we'd be better with eskimos here at the moment!)
Thanks for showing them Richard.

I didn't notice that before, might be a toy for the kid in the pool.
-
Yeah I would guess a toy, but it does look like a purse too. :)
That bush in the set with the hammock - they should release that in the flame orange color - it would look great in inferno scenes (maybe I've been looking at plants too much)
-
Looks like a new seal toy in the 4858 set too.
The new bodyshape appears to be joined at the waist, where the trunks meet the skin-colored plastic. I don't think they pivot there, or the legs move separately, or I think Playmo would have made it clearer in the pictures.
Shame there's only one man with trunks. I'd like to have some other skin tones available, both male and female, but maybe they'll follow.
-

Following that logic, Martin, Playmobil would have also made it clearer in the pictures that the hands turn at the wrists.

True. Well, I don't think they look like they'll turn at the waist or have separately moving legs, but I'd be quite happy to be wrong.

I've got a few "bikini girls",and they don't turn at the waist and the legs don't move seperately, just toghether like with a "normal" klicky. It IS a very nice figure btw,I was pleasantly surprised!
Erik. :)

Unfortunately, Martin, you're probably correct. I, too, hope that you're wrong because a fully articulated Playmobil klicky would be wonderful!
-
Oooops ... It appears that Erik and I were both posting about the same time.
And, it seems that you were correct, Martin. Rats ... :'(
Like you, Martin, I was hoping for a twisting waist and independently moving legs.
There was a day long ago (and for one brief moment) that Playmobil made a figure with moving legs.

-
And, then there was the Dragon Models figure that could be easily converted to a Playmobil fully articulated figure.

That Dragon figure looks pretty good if the joints stay tight, thanks for the picture Richard!

I didn't notice that either. I guess my attention was on the Klicky. :-[
-
Imagine if they made the fat klicky man into a varient of these ;D
-
The muscle chested guy would make a cool Tarzan for the African theme! ;D
I guess the bikini girl would make a lovely Jane as well......
Best regards,
Jimbo

Yuk! That's a horrible image. Flatcat ... A fat man in a Speedo ... :omg:
(Unfortunately, we see them all the time here on the beach in Fort Lauderdale.)

Great idea, Jimbo!

Hello
So is it true that the speedo's and bikinis are painted on and can easily be removed? I think this will make the best nude figure to date, yes even a fat nude one.

I can't wait to see this. Imagine the photostories you could make ;D

It doesn't look like the girl I have has painted "speedos". Only the top is painted. The girl's "bottom" is interestingly authentic. I like her a lot. ;)

I'd like to see how the muscle man would look as a gladiator... and the bikini woman could be an amazon!

HI
So with a little paint removal we could make a topless beach scene ;) and to go for a full nude we need to flesh color paint the rest. I think this could be very useful for bath house scenes in almost any theme or era. By bath-house I do not mean an individual bathroom stall but a classical version of the social scene that was so important.

Hi
I really like the open bow ski boat. I am surprised Playmobil did not include a wake-board with that set. It is a good looking boat and I will be needing one of those to go with all the scantily clad Klickies. I too like how we have a large assortment of sandal colors now.
I just do not get the hair colors of the children. In the boat both parents are brown and the son is black ? In the pool you have a total mix up with their 4 kids. Are some born tow haired or something? Whose kids are those :hmm:

You probably don't want to know, Ras ...
-
I really like fish lady's hair. Good stuffs.
The pecs are a little weird, but match the pecs on the Roman armor.
-
I have to say, they don't look like playmobil, and I don't think I would be able to stand next to them with out regurgitating. I don't like them much
-
So far these sets have made me laugh soo hard I almost wet myself!
Then I read this...
Imagine if they made the fat klicky man into a varient of these ;D
     That is too much!

Hmmm, I kind of feel the same way... but they are not completely horrible, as I would really like to use the guy for a gladiator!
My Roman citizens would love him!
-
gladiator, that actually sounds good
-

David
We have BlueWizard to thank for that awsome idea! :wow:
Wish I had thought of it!
Does anyone know how to take them apart?
If you can take off the legs can they be replaced by normal klicky legs with the normal frame?
-

I rather like them myself, and think that they are a much needed addition to the klicky family. I can't wait to see some customs ;D

You're not alone, Flatcat!
A lot of us are looking forward to adding Bikini Girl and her friends to our collections ...
And, I'm also looking forward to seeing the customs ... :woohoo:
All the best,
Richard

Hello
I have many projects and dioramas that I will be using the new bodies in. I just hope there is no silly business about when they are supposed to be distributed to the export markets.

(Okay, for those of you who don't get the joke, you'll have to see the movie "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" starring one of my all-time favorite actors, Humphrey Bogart. A mexican bandit claimed he was with the police and when asked to show his badge, said "We don't need no stinkin' badges!" It ranks among the most memorable lines ever in movies.)
