Hi friends!
Have to beg your pardon, for not beeing here for such a long time.
I must be ashamed, but you all know the little free time, a collector has.
Hope, some of you still remember me?
Just to remind you, I am the lady with the opera house. :-[
I have made friend with Emma the last month. I think you all know her wonderful victorian houses, shops and more.
And she asked me to post some of my new pictures here for you.
I am happy to do so and hope, you will enjoy.
Here we go:
I am working on a night club, with revue girls, a lot of champagne and something more.
And here you see my first star, the Cancan dancer:

Satine! Are you planning on making her elephant apartment someday?
I love your backdrop for the saucy can can girl, reminds me of me Theatre de la Mode http://blogs.starbulletin.com/fashiontribe/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/theatre.jpg (http://blogs.starbulletin.com/fashiontribe/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/theatre.jpg)

THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you all! :wow:
It feels so good, to hear you like my work!

The elephant apartment? What an idea...
Never thought about it, but now, as you mentioned it...
If you like Moulin Rouge, you maybe will also like my next figure:
The GREEN FAIRY of Absinth
-
Love your glittery night club girls! :wow:
They're fun and the costumes are really pretty.
-
The Absinthe Girl (aka The Green Fairy) is really really charming! Where did you find the naked legs? Or did you paint them yourself? If you did they came out really even and has that nice Playmobil factory sheen to them. Amazing work. I tried painting a Klicky torso naked to make a Mercury figure and it came out looking lumpy and oatmealish
-
Wonderful Green Fairy! :wow: :wow:
Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder... ;D
-
Wow, your buildings are truly amazings not only the opera house but also the pharmasist and all the others!
-
Thank you all!
The next pictures are coming after Cristmas! Sorry, not enough time!
@ Cloud Strife
The legs are painted.
I use a mixture of Humbrol Enamel matt Color 82 (orange) and a Revell Enamel Color shining 04 (white).
A little bit Revell Color Mix to make the mixture thinner and that´s it!
Try it, it´s easy!
Better to use figures or parts with light colors (best white), but it also works with dark ones. Maybe you have to paint 2 layers.
I waited years until I dare to paint the first time. And now, I ask me why?
It opens a LOT of possibilities and is a lot of fun!
I also use sometimes Nail Polish, especially for the glittering figures.
Hope, I could help you?
Good luck! And don´t forget to show us! ;)
@ highlandcattle
Glad, you like the pharmacists shops!
I did it for our shop window, when we had 30th Anniversary.
It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too!
And people liked it!
