I'm not much into ships Andy, but this looks great. Is she modeled after a real ship? It looks like a cargo ship to me...

Hi Andy
That's interesting :wow: !!!
I like ships a lot and I would love to know more about this one please :yup:

FireChief: Not per se, though it’s pretty close in concept to any other workaday… The only ‘real’ difference between her and other vsls like her is her wheel is forward, whereas most are aft.
playmovictorian: Well, I’m hardly that good. She was an stock standard 581Ø Pirate Corsair, so that’s the story I built on- The corsair Red Shores. Her crew were under the mind control of the not-so-evil Baron Poseidon who tried to raid The Village (a desert coastal town that slaves used to run to back when, now where retired gladiators settle down). Baroness Poseidon however betrayed her husband by braking the mind control, the crew surrendered, the Baron was clapped in irons, and the crew given their parole conditional to they refit and crew her as a fishing vsl (now Emma B Ryan). The Baroness was given a general parole, conditional that she never leave The Village, meaning she can’t go home (not that it would be a good idea anyways, since the rest of the royal family will probably kill her).

Nice custom, Andy.
Is the sail one you made? it looks like the interfacing material I bought years ago.

Ah, ok. Now The thread makes sense (when pics are available).
Really nice ship and a beautiful color scheme.

playmofire: No, those are the standard factory sails. My wife just picked up the material a couple days ago, and I want to finish the hull first.
Little Jo. Thank you. Geocities was being a butt. >:(
