Title: pirate ship masts compatible?
Post by: Hobbes on August 17, 2009, 01:23:23
Howdy,

I'm trying to restore my old playmobil ship 3050 and was wondering if the masts from the ship 3286 are compatible with this older model?

Can you show a picture of the 3286, please?

Hi Hobbes :)

Direct image linking to pics at PlaymoDB doesn't work. I think it's to prevent excessive use of the site's bandwidth since it is financed by a playmobil fan (Heather Patey (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=128)) and has no ads to help cover hosting costs.

I've attached the image of the ship to this post.

Thanks Sylvia. I found out the answer myself though, I went to my parentshouse and took my playmobil boxes I have stored there (living in an appartment for the moment) from the attic and tested the masts myself. Its an exact fit so I'll be ordering some spares =)

:wave: hello hobbes, i am sorry for being so late to come to your rescue.  :-[
yes, they do fit, but now you already know it.
maybe, next time i can help you - it will always be a pleasure to help a pirate's theme fan.  :yup:
i guess you had everyone confused when you used the u.s. set numbers: 3050 and 3286.  8}
in europe (in germany) they are called the 3550 piratenschiff (released in 1978) and the 3940 grosses piratenflaggschiff (released in 2000).
  :love:

Ah cachalote thanks for your response. Well I just surfed to collectobil and copied the set number from the first box that looked alike ;)
