Thanks for the extra pics, Andi. They are very useful.
-
Thank you very much for this link! :D
Just downloaded all and printed them in a small booklet so that I now can read thru in pleasant anticipation. :D
-
I don't see any pictures - do I need to be a member of Klickywelt to see them?
-
Thank you Martin, I thought it was just me. 8}
I have tried in the past to join Klickywelt but always get caught in some kind of 'limbo loop'.

Yes but it's quite easy to join and you can opt for English instructions.

Me too. I am still waiting to be approved by the admin. over there. :-[

I had problems at Klickywelt, too. I had signed up some time back, but this time I could not get in - I think I was booted because of inactivity, but, as I don't speak German, I am not sure. ::)

I've added all the new sets (or new to the database, at least):
PlaymoDB List - New Sets from German Catalog 2009 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=4159,4160,4239,4324,4326,4327,4328,4329,4448,4449,4820,4822,4823,4824,4825,4835,4836,4837,4838,4840,4841,5878,4821,4819;title=New%20Sets%20from%20German%20Catalog%202009)
I retyped the German names as best I could, given the blurriness of the scans - hope someone will correct me if I've made mistakes.

Thanks for that, Heather. One minor problem with the 4821 fire engine, but you may not be able to do anything about it as it involves a special character, but it should be rüstwagen.

Sure, I'll add the umlaut - I added extra e's in some places where I thought there might be umlauts but they're almost impossible to see... but of course if you know enough German you know they're supposed to be there! Any more?

My German is limited to the essentials, e.g. feuerwehr, Leiterfahrzeug, but more usually to the abbreviated essentials, TLF, DL, and other fire brigade related terms. ;D

Just some small remarks:
Adventskalendar -> Adventkalender
Kasperstheater -> Kaspertheater
Grosse Schule -> Große Schule (using ß)
Weikunterricht -> Werkunterricht
Kustenwachboot -> Küstenwachboot
Loschhubschrauber -> Löschhubschrauber
Loschtrupp -> Löschtrupp
Grosse Drachenburg -> Große Drachenburg (using ß)
Riesenschouder mit Gefangenenselle -> Riesenschleuder mit Gefangenenzelle
Leuchtflanze -> Leuchtlanze
-
Thanks, Jochen. Edits underway.

Pictures of the new sets are online at Playmobil.de (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Search-Show?cgid=S_ARTIKEL).
-
Thanks, just what I wanted to know! :)
Although as yet there aren't the detailed views of the box contents for the fire brigade. Hopefully, these won't be too long.
-
Excellent new line up of items! I'm waiting for the new fire department theme :woohoo:!

They're on playmobil.de now, Bill, including a fire rescue boot I don't recall seeing in the earlier pics.

Thank you LHAAP,
I noticed that Pirates and Ghost Pirates have their own sections, but all the medievals are now Dragon Knights or Dragonland. I do however like the figures that come with 4837 (Battle Tower?).http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Detail?pid=4837&cgid=Drachenland (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Detail?pid=4837&cgid=Drachenland)

Only six sets in the Dragonworld theme, of which two are the large castles and one is the siege-monstrosity.
I was hoping for a 5 man unit set like in the Knights, Egyptians and Roman themes.
I notice quite a similarity between these figures and the Elves-in-Underpants.
-
I'm increasingly impressed by the new fire engines, although I don't think they'll ever replace the 3880 in my estimation, and I still have reservations about those dummy roller shutters. However, I suppose, price permitting, the aerial ladder and a pump would be nice, probably two pumps to be on the safe side.
Looking more closely at the pump (the pics on playmobil.de are better quality than the ones we've seen so far) I see there is a piece of extrication equipment (certainly spreaders, but maybe a combined cutter and spreader) and maybe a power unit for it. There is also a length of suction hose visible round the back of the vehicle and a can of foam concentrate included.
The aerial ladder has proper stowage for the stretcher, a chainsaw and a ventilation unit. There also appears to be some sort of equipment alongside the ventilation unit.
I'd be interested to know prices if a German member would check on playmobil.de for me.
-
One thing I forgot to mention is the lack of ladders on the pump and in the accessory set. Maybe they will appear in DS or in a later set.

Some of the prices:
PLAYMOBIL-Feuerwehr-Hauptquartier 4819 - UVP € 62,99
PLAYMOBIL-Feuerwehr-Leiterfahrzeug 4820 - UVP € 62,99
PLAYMOBIL-Feuerwehr-Rüstfahrzeug 4821 - UVP € 49,99
PLAYMOBIL-Löschhubschrauber 4824 - UVP € 15,29
-
Looks like lots of new parts from all the new themes . I will be ordering lots of the klicky stands ( white in 4825 , & grey in 4840 ) & many more . I think i will get a lot more of the actual parts and skip the sets all together .
As much as i did not like putting together the advent my kids did love to hold and open the surprise . Looks like the new ones have a new system with doors now :lens:

Thank you, Lars. Expensive, the pump is £45 and the aerial ladder £57! I can see that my 3880s will just have their equipment updated but we may run to a new aerial ladder.
BTW, let me know if you want anything from DS.
-
Interesting that even the small figure set with the pump doesn't have a ladder in it. Perhaps they are redesigning it? The chemical suit in silver instead of the green is nice too.
The school band set is nice, I like the Conga drums.
Did you notice the drill press in the school workshop set?
-
Thank you, Playmobil!
I now have an entire year to play "catch-up" on the sets that I wanted to buy from last year, as there's nothing new from this year's Nürnberg Toy Fair that are "must haves" for me. :yippee:
Thanks again for the respite, Playmobil ... I didn't think that I would ever be able to get all the sets that I wanted, as Zirndorf just kept making really great new sets before I had time to get the "last" new set ... ;)
Now I can get the Sea Explorer, the Church and the African sets before I need to start thinking about other sets to get.
I'm sure that most of you must think that I'm absolutely bonkers ... ;D
But, as crazy as it sounds, I really was beginning to get a bit worried ... 8}

The new catalogue (http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Link-Page?cid=ONLINE_CATALOG) is also online now.
-
Hmmm, but it's very slow loading - 7 minutes and I'm up to page 4 of 56 on broadband.

Yes the new catalog and all the 3-D images either take a long time or never load at all .

No luck here. I'd be quite happy if there were the rear views of the boxes for the new fire theme, but there aren't. Websites should be quick and sharp. I wonder if Playmobil have fallen for the idea that sites should be all singing and dancing even if that means slow and frustrating when actually used over the internet. (The site developers will demonstrate their work on their own PC so it is super fast.)

Have you seen that 360° views are available?

They freeze on me ... each time they've been downloaded for 98% :(

That's something else I've been looking for, but I can't see anything about it. It used to appear below the item picture after you'd clicked on it in the main theme page.
-
I've just been on www.bruder.de's site (another German toy firm) and they've got the right idea with a very quick loading 2009 catalogue.
-
I have always like those Bruder designs it is just too bad the scale is a little off and the plastic is so thin.
PS : after opening the catalog my whole computer is slow 8} There must be something with toy catalogs and bugs
-
Bruder's quality is very high. The models are very durable.
I can't acces the Playmobil catalogue today 8}

I agree with entirely, Lars. I think the plastic appears to be thinner than the Playmobil partly because of the larger size of the Bruder vehicles (they are 1:16) and also because the type of plastic is possibly different in its composition.

Well, this morning the 3D catalogue fed in almost instantly and I spotted the 3D view "marker" on some of the pages but couldn't get it to work, so some progress made but still some to go.
-
Hmmm ...
Maybe there are some interesting things in "Dragonland" ... ;)

Hello, AMD ...
There are some really great figures in these sets.
They remind me of Tolkien's Middle Earth.

-
Anyway the shield looks strange to me: what should be protected by it? Clowns feet?
-
Clowns again! They are scary! :omg:
-
... Clowns feet? ...
pssssssssst! Not so load; they are rather sensative about it. They prefer the term "footdisplacement challenged".

I'm curious about how he handles it, at the back, to wander whether it can actually be used. But, again .. I don't think I'll have one of these :hmm:
(I still don't know what to do with that crazy "bend" sword! .. it's on the spare pile ...)

Anyway, I agree, and I think that's the idea. Not my favourite. They'll pass like firebrigades and policemen ::) ... I'm sure it'll generate a whole new group of playmofriends, though ... I honestly hope so! ;D :yup:
Fun!

I like the school- just don't know where I'd put it.
I do intend on getting the fire station (and I hope the add-ons include more apparatus bays)
I like the tools on the ladder truck, but not the truck itself.
I'll probably add the engine though.
And I intend to add all of the African Safari sets
Maybe even the Dragon Tower and Dragon Catapult
Wow it's going to get expensive :D

ok, now this is an interesting figure,... not just for the wierd orc weapons, or the 40 pounds black pearl in the helmet, or the wierd eye in the shield... but the armour he uses.... is great!!!! shiny like the late armour of the 1400 and 15' hundreds... i took some close ups shoots from playmobil.de
